  • Patent number: 10157387
Abstract: Methods and systems for establishing a reserve price for a publisher's ad space inventory offered via a real-time bidding market are disclosed. In some embodiments, a certain percentage of traffic (e.g., ad requests) received at an ad market server are redirected to one or more external networks, such as ad networks, for processing. The performance of the redirected ad requests is analyzed to determine an expected clearing price for the ad requests. The expected clearing price of a particular ad request corresponding to a particular ad space, if greater than a publisher-established reserve price, is used as a market reserve price when presenting the ad requests in a real-time bidding market.

  • Patent number: 9561000
Abstract: A body fluid sampling device for use on a patient includes at least one penetrating member positioned in the cartridge and a sample port for receiving a body fluid. A channel is coupled to the sample port and the sample chamber. At least a portion of the channel is a capillary channel positioned adjacent to the sample chamber. A mesh membrane is and provides that the body fluid contacts the channel regardless of an orientation of body fluid sampling device.

  • Patent number: 8945910
Abstract: A body fluid sampling device is provided. A mesh (120) may be used to guide blood or fluid to travel directly form the wound to an analyte detecting port on the cartridge (121). Thus the volume of blood or body fluid produced at the wound site irregardless of its droplet geometry can be reliable and substantially completely transported to the analyte detecting member (150) for measurement.

  • Patent number: 8668656
Abstract: A system and method is provided for the capture of bodily fluid upon lancing of a patient. In one embodiment, the fluid sample capture aperture mesh (320) ring is placed in the pathway of a finger penetrating member (340). The aperture mesh ring has a center clearance area that allows the penetrating member to pierce the skin unobstructed. The aperture mesh ring may contain a series of fluid sampling meshes as to allow the release bodily fluid to “wick” into the fluid sampling meshes for transport to the respective sensor. The invention may also relate to a method of improving the fluidic flow through a membrane mesh structure for the transportation of bodily fluids from a point of sampling to a point of measurement.

  • Patent number: 7780631
Abstract: An apparatus having a shaft that can sense the depth of penetration, for penetrating into an object (the substrate). The substrate being penetrated has impedance that varies according to the depth under a surface of the substrate. The shaft has a tip for penetration and has conductive ends near to the tip of the shaft. A change of impedance of material of the object between the conductive ends can be sensed to provide information on the depth of penetration. A processor can be provided external to the object being penetrated by the shaft to gather and process the impedance information to determine whether the desired depth has been achieved.
