  • Patent number: 11791615
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses for a power control system device housed in a subpanel, that allows for multiple alternative energy inputs as well as providing an islanding feature, which allows a homeowner to receive alternative energy power when the utility power is lost. For example, in a system that includes an electrical service panel main with a main circuit breaker that is connected directly to a utility electrical source, which may have one or more secondary circuit breakers that back-feeds current from an alternative energy source, there is provided an apparatus that: monitors current from both circuit breakers and prevents excess power from overheating the service panel and/or the wiring to the main circuit breaker; may have multiple spaces for circuit breakers that may be connected to multiple alternative energy sources; and may continue to feed specific loads to the home when utility power is lost and one or more alternative energy sources are available.

  • Patent number: 9564277
Abstract: Systems and devices are described herein for reducing a phantom load. The system may include a device for connection to a power source and a transformer or machine, wherein the device is configured to disconnect the transformer or machine from the power source under a predetermined load condition. The device may include a contactor, a current detector, a timer, and a controller. Portions of the current detector, timer, or controller may be implemented in a microcontroller.

Date of Patent: February 7, 2017
Assignee: International Electrical Saving & Development, LLC
Inventors: Paul M. Cruz, Thomas J. McKenzie, Daniel B. Brunning
  • Patent number: 9124097
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein relate generally to a device for correcting the polarity of electricity in a circuit. In direct current circuits, a positive voltage received from a power source will exit the device at a predetermined output regardless of which input of the device received the positive voltage. In alternating current circuits, one or more currents received from a hot output(s) of a power source will be connected to a predetermined output(s) of the device regardless of which input(s) received the current(s).
