  • Publication number: 20240110488
Abstract: A gas turbine engine includes a turbine section that has a ceramic matrix composite body that defines a core gaspath side that a row of blades, a forward end, an aft end, and circumferential sides. The forward end abuts at least one vane of a first row of vanes, and the aft end including a seal channel. A compliant seal is disposed in the seal channel and seals against at least one vane of a second row of vanes.

  • Patent number: 4451373
Abstract: In a ring channel aeration system, circulation is provided by one or more hydraulic jumps while the major portion of the energy consumed in aeration is allocated to the release of oxidative process gas through horizontally non-propulsive bubble release means having an oxygen transfer efficiency of at least about 6. The hydraulic jump(s) may be powered by discharge of gas (e.g. the same gas used for aeration) through gas discharge means, in which case the system of gas discharge means and bubble release means may have an overall oxygen transfer efficiency of at least about 6. The invention has advantages of flexibility and resultant energy savings as compared to single device circulation/aeration systems, in that excessive energy need not be consumed in aeration to obtain the requisite circulation and vice versa.

  • Patent number: 4294696
Abstract: A swing diffuser apparatus for gas diffuser systems for liquid treatment is disclosed in which an array of diffusers (50) is movable between a deeply submerged, essentially horizontal operating position, a shallowly submerged, essentially horizontal operating position, and a fully exposed, substantially upright position at the edge of the container for the liquid. An articulated hanger arm linkage (22, 24, 26, 30, 32, 52, 54) rotates the array to achieve these positions as the linkage folds and unfolds.

  • Patent number: 4288394
Abstract: A sewage aeration system comprising a header pipe, plenums of synthetic thermoplastic or thermoset resin with side walls inclined upwardly and outwardly to diffusion element support means, generally horizontal diffusion elements free of through-holes other than air diffusion pores, retaining means securing the elements about their peripheries to the plenums, sealing means adjacent the peripheries of the diffusion elements and airflow regulator members which terminate in the plenums beneath the horizontal diffusion elements.

  • Patent number: 4012470
Abstract: An aeration system for a sewage treatment tank including headers having connectors longitudinally spaced along the header, the connectors being adapted to receive air diffusers; means supporting the header horizontally in a tank; and means for rotating the header on its axis to level the connectors.
