Abstract: A playing card cleaning apparatus and wetting-scrubbing rollers, wherein playing cards are separated from a deck thereof by an extraction and card spacing roller, and fed between pairs of traction, wetting-scrubbing, and squeegee rollers, the cards being wetted with a film of cleaning solution from a transfer roller, and cleaned cards withdrawn in a damp condition from the squeegee rollers, the wetting-scrubbing rollers operating at differential speed to apply the film of cleaning solution to and to scrub the top and bottom surfaces of the cards, the squeegee rollers substantially removing the solution and leaving the cards damp, and drying means of absorbent belting to remove the dampness from the cards, the cards being discharged successively, and employing liquid cleaning agents to wet the cards that are sequentially scrubbed top and bottom and from which said cleaning agents are wiped.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for protecting subsea wellheads and christmas trees from damage by anchors, fishing nets, trawl boards, and other towed devices. The apparatus includes an annular, rigid protective enclosure with inner and outer walls that define a hollow annular chamber, and a plurality of bag-like containers spaced around and attached to the enclosure's outer wall. The annular chamber is in communication with the interiors of the containers by means of ports through the enclosure's outer wall, whereby when cement is pumped into the chamber it also flows into and fills the containers to form a smoothly contoured shield around the enclosure. Should an anchor or other device become fouled on this shield, the container or containers involved will break away and let the anchor continue on its way up and over the enclosure without damage to the wellhead or other well equipment.

Abstract: A guidelineless subsea wellhead system includes TV/sonar guidance components which direct operating and/or service equipment into a position adjacent a subsea wellhead. An offset funnel mounted on the wellhead is used to guide a probe, which is mounted on a riser, into alignment with the wellhead. The probe is used to guide the riser and the service equipment into exact alignment with the wellhead so that tasks such as well entry, tree installation, well reentry, tree cap removal, tree cap replacement and downhole wireline operations can be completed without any cable guidelines. The system can also be used with the usual guidelines to increase the speed and accuracy of connecting to the wellhead.
