  • Patent number: 10411706
Abstract: A wide-band digital buffer formed in a III-V substrate including a first transistor, a second transistor, a pull-up circuit shifts a t signal to a level of the first transistor. A first capacitor receives the signal, and passes at least a portion of the AC component of the signal to the first transistor. A resistor receives a first bias voltage, and passes it to the first transistor. A pull-down circuit shifts a second signal to a level of the second transistor. A second capacitor receives the second signal, and passes at least a portion of the AC component of the second signal to the second transistor. A second resistor receives a second bias voltage, and passes it to the second transistor.

  • Patent number: 6198437
Abstract: A broadband microwave coplanar antenna suitable for use in singular antenna or antenna array dispositions in a plurality of military and other present day uses. The disclosed antenna combines desirable characteristic of the patch and slot antenna forms into an arrangement having both patch resonances and slot resonances. These resonances may be individually accessed and either combined in frequency location or dispersed in frequency to accomplish a broadband combination antenna characteristic. Broadband electrical impedance characteristics are also provided in the dispersed resonance arrangement. The antenna includes a coplanar ground plane member disposed surrounding the active patch/slot element with both physical dimensions of the active patch/slot element and spacings from the ground plane element determining the resonances.

  • Patent number: 4777311
Abstract: A process is disclosed whereby a C.sub.5 hydrocarbon stream containing both olefins and paraffins is converted over an AMS-1B crystalline borosilicate catalyst or an AMS-1B crystalline borosilicate composition containing an ion or molecule of a catalytically active element such as a noble metal. The C.sub.5 olefins are converted to aromatic hydrocarbons, C.sub.3 -C.sub.4 paraffins and olefins and C.sub.6 -C.sub.11 paraffins and olefins.

  • Patent number: 4365864
Abstract: A star coupler for distributing light from an input optical fibre to one or more output fibres comprises a glass mixer rod interfaced with an optical fibre array and provided with a coating of highly reflective material at the array/mixer rod interface. The coating is provided with apertures which correspond to the fibre core positions such that the coating masks the cladding and interstitial regions of the fibre array. The end face of the mixer rod remote from this interface can be either uniformly mirrored or can be coupled with a second fibre array by a similar reflecting array/mixer rod interface.
