  • Publication number: 20190383775
Abstract: Various apparatuses and methods for use in determining the density of insulation in a building cavity are provided. The density of the insulation can then be used for determining the R-value of the insulation. An insulation density measuring apparatus includes a sound wave source and a sound detecting device, such as a microphone, for measuring the sound wave attenuation of a sound wave that moves between the sound wave source and the sound detecting device through the insulation. The sound wave attenuation measurement is correlated with an insulation density.

  • Patent number: 10093051
Abstract: Methods of joining members, forming molded portions with members, securing inserts with members, and joined members, such as for a frame or a frame for a fenestration unit, formed thereby, are disclosed. One embodiment of the method includes placing a first member with a first cavity in a joining position, placing a second member proximate the first cavity of the first member in the joining position, injecting a resin into the first cavity, allowing the resin to solidify at least partially to join the first member and second member to form a joined member, and removing the joined member from the joining position. Optionally, the joined member can be formed in a fixture, can include molded portions formed by the resin, and/or can include inserts held in place by the resin. Further, members without cavities can form a cavity that can receive the resin.

  • Publication number: 20070293319
Abstract: A method of connecting gaming devices together is described which enables multi-party gaming between devices with different feature sets. A device receives data from several gaming devices and determines which features each gaming device requires These required features are those which are not held at the particular device but are held by one or more of the other devices. Code relating to the particular features required by each gaming device is then transferred to each of the gaming devices.

  • Publication number: 20050005275
Abstract: A system for sharing information between separately executable programs is provided. The data sharing system includes a control unit (11) having a processor (12) and a memory (16) coupled to the processor (12). The memory (16) stores information pertaining to a first program that was previously executed by the processor (12). The data sharing system also includes a data storage medium (14) that stores a second program executable by the processor (12). When executed by the processor, the second program retrieves information pertaining to the first program from the memory and utilizes the information pertaining to the first program with the execution of the second program.
