  • Patent number: 10825325
Abstract: A method for maintaining possession of a firearm includes the steps of transmitting a signal between a first transceiver coupled to a firearm and a second transceiver of a secondary carry implement. The secondary carry implement has an alert component. The alert component is activated when a predetermined proximity between the firearm and the secondary carry component is exceeded. The predetermined proximity is inferred from signal strength from the first transceiver that is detected by the second transceiver.

Date of Patent: November 3, 2020
    Assignee: ArmzReach, Inc.

  • Patent number: 8413448
Abstract: An airblast fuel injector for the combustor of a gas turbine engine has, in order from radially inner to outer, a coaxial arrangement of an inner swirler passage, an annular fuel passage, an annular mid swirler passage, and an annular outer swirler passage. The fuel passage extends to a prefilming lip, and the inner and mid swirler passages swirl air past the prefilming lip so that fuel fed from the fuel passage to the prefilming lip is entrained by the swirling air into a fuel spray stream. The outer swirler passage has a convergent portion. The radially inward wall of said convergent portion is defined by a frustoconical separator element which separates the outer swirler passage from the mid swirler passage, the separator element converging in the direction of air flow to terminate in a lip at the mouths of the mid swirler passage and the outer swirler passage.

  • Patent number: 7743028
Abstract: Mechanisms for generating an incremental backup of a set of data blocks while excluding certain files that are less desired to be backed up. Examples of such files include temporary Internet files and the recycle bin. This allows the size of the incremental backup to be reduced significantly since such undesired files are often changed between backups. The incremental backup is constructed by first calculating which data blocks should be included in the incremental backup. The calculation is a function of at least the identity of which if any of the data blocks in a prior snapshot have been or would have been altered as a result of potential file alterations in the prior snapshot, and/or which if any of the data blocks in the subsequent snapshot have been or would have been altered as a result of potential file alterations in the subsequent snapshot.

  • Patent number: 4039748
Abstract: A clock setting circuit is provided at a receiving modem for adjusting the phase of a timing signal defining the signal sampling instants. The received signal is filtered in two filters to derive a first signal having a phase .phi..sub.1 and a frequency f.sub.1 equal to f.sub.c - 1/2T, f.sub.c being the carrier frequency and 1/T being the transmission baud rate, and a second signal having a phase .phi..sub.2 and a frequency f.sub.2 equal to f.sub.c + 1/2T. The first and second derived signals are combined to derive an error signal indicative of the phase difference .phi..sub.2 - .phi..sub.1 which difference is used for adjusting the phase of a phase locked oscillator which provides the timing signal.
