  • Publication number: 20180014516
Abstract: A rigid, semi-rigid, or soft 3-dimensional, realistic appearing, artificial and aft tethered decapod lure comprising a head section, a tapered body section and a tail section with an up plaining, expanded fan-shaped tail. Each section exhibits ribbing that allows for visual and sonic characterization of the lure by predator fish. Lure sections are hollow and chambered to allow for weighting of the head and body section to encourage a forward and downward glide with lure casting and line slack. In opposite, the upward-plaining, fan-shaped tail acts as an upward, reverse motion mechanism with retrieval of the invention. The bi-directional motion capability of the lure allows the angler to utilize the lure in two ways, as a sub-surface sinking lure, attracting fish at various depths, or as a surface, top-water lure capable of replicating the actions of an escaping decapod under attack by a predatory fish.

  • Patent number: 9271481
Abstract: A 3-dimentional moving and visible filamentous material for insertion into a rebate or slot in the gill area of a baitfish lure which is designed to protrude out and away from the lure and intentionally simulates fibrous gill filaments and the exsanguination of an injured, bleeding prey fish. This filamentous insertion is created from a crimson natural, synthetic, or combination material that is metallic or translucent and naturally reflective in nature. The rebate or slot is a dissimilar wall height recess incorporated into the design of the lure which is located between the head and body of the lure where the circumference of the head portion is slightly larger than circumference of the body portion in the area of a “gill slit” causing a vortex of turbulent water flow impacting and agitating the filamentous insertion fibers. The method of attachment is in the form of a water-resistant, transparent glue.

  • Publication number: 20130067793
Abstract: A fishing lure is a body of desired shape with two ends. The lure may be made of wood, metallic or synthetic material. The purpose of this abstract is to accentuate the gill section of a baitfish/minnow style lure. It is well accepted that predatory fish key in on the RED gill section of a baitfish/minnow. When chased, most baitfish/minnows have flared gill covers. To simulate this, lure manufacturers apply a line or spot of red paint to gill area as attractant to procure a bite or strike. Monodirectional. The 3Dimensional moving GILL is a filamentous material of synthetic, natural or metallic nature glued into a rebate or slot behind head area of baitfish/minnow lure. This 3D gill thus protrudes from the lure body. The filaments will thus move when the lure is retrieved. This gill is thus visible from 3 dimensions.
