Publication number: 20250020360Abstract: A device for adjusting an air volume flow, in particular in an air distribution network, has a central air channel which can be flowed through and a throttle which is arranged in the central air channel. A size of a cross section of the air channel which can be flowed through can be changed by a throttle, wherein the throttle has an adjustment mechanism for changing the cross section which can be flowed through. The device has in addition to the throttle a central flow element which is arranged in the air channel and which has a cover, the circumference of which increases in the direction away from the throttle. The adjustment mechanism can be activated with the device being mounted in a wall opening. This enables an optimum fine adjustment of the device.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 10, 2024Publication date: January 16, 2025Applicant: VIESSMANN CLIMATE SOLUTIONS SEInventors: Tim RÖDER, Eduard REMPEL, Fabian BECKER, Paul MATHIS

Publication number: 20240019163Abstract: A device for adjusting a constant air volume flow has air guiding members which extend in a radial direction and in a state distributed about a longitudinal center axis of the device. Between adjacent air guiding members there are formed air passages which can be adjusted in terms of their opening cross section. The air guiding members are formed from a first and a second air guiding unit in each case. By rotating the first air guiding unit relative to the second air guiding unit, the opening cross section of the air passages can be changed. The air guiding units are constructed in such a manner that the air guiding member formed thereby has a closed and curved surface at least at the inflow side. This enables a change of the free flow cross section, wherein the location of the narrowest flow cross section is consistent at different adjustment positions.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 2, 2021Publication date: January 18, 2024Applicant: VIESSMANN CLIMATE SOLUTIONS SEInventors: Paul MATHIS, Dirk MÜLLER

Patent number: 4576483Abstract: The centrally located outlet in the bottom portion of a silo for a flowable solid building material or fertilizer discharges directly into a first chamber of a mixing unit having a vertical shaft which is coaxial with the outlet and rotates one or more first tools in the first chamber to uniformly distribute the inflowing material and to reduce its tendency to become separated into two or more ingredients. The thus pretreated material descends into a second chamber and into the range of one or more rotating second tools which are driven by the shaft and intermix the material with one or more liquids before the finished product enters an evacuating pump which conveys it to one or more locations of use or to further processing units. The utilization of a vertical shaft and of parts which rotate about one or more vertical axes reduces the wear and prolongs the useful life of such moving parts.Type: GrantFiled: July 19, 1984Date of Patent: March 18, 1986Assignee: Mathis System-Technik GmbHInventors: Paul Mathis, Bernhard Mathis, Franz Mathis, Wilhelm Zimmerer

Patent number: 4572674Abstract: Apparatus for mixing charges of flowable solid materials has a hollow cylindrical housing with two upright end walls and a hollow shell between the end walls. The lower part of the shell has a large material evacuating opening sealable by two mirror symmetrical doors which are pivotable about horizontal axes. The opening extends all the way between the end walls and is large enough to allow for gravitational outflow of the entire contents of the housing irrespective of the angle of repose of the charge. The doors are bounded by edge faces which make oblique angles with their external surfaces and abut against complementary edge faces of the end walls and shell. Sealing strips on the shell and end walls are engaged by deforming members at the external surfaces of the doors when the opening is closed. The abutting edge faces of the doors also make oblique angles with the respective external surfaces.Type: GrantFiled: October 15, 1984Date of Patent: February 25, 1986Assignee: Mathis System-Technik GmbHInventors: Paul Mathis, Max Zimmer

Patent number: 4548507Abstract: Mixing apparatus is provided for the production of mixtures of particulate solids and in particular, for the production of various mortar mixtures. The apparatus includes metering means, control means and transfer means for metering out and introducing predetermined quantities of components into a mixer and thereupon, after mixing, delivering the mixed product into means for loading transportation vehicles. The apparatus has no intermediate containers for storing various mixtures of building materials. A mixer is provided which can be emptied residue-free. A self-cleaning conveying system from the mixer to each transfer device is further provided. The lower wall zone of the mixer can be completely opened for residue-free emptying, the opening angle being greater than the angle of slide of the mixing material or residues thereof in the mixer. Such an opening prevents appreciable residues from being left in the mixer and from contaminating subsequent mixtures.Type: GrantFiled: September 23, 1983Date of Patent: October 22, 1985Assignee: Mathis System-Technik GmbHInventors: Paul Mathis, Max Zimmer

Patent number: 4449826Abstract: The percentage of entrapped air in mortar, plaster, concrete or a like building material which is prepared on a continuous basis is increased, preferably by at least 100 percent, by providing a mixing chamber with one or more barriers which oppose the progress of a mixture of solid and liquid constituents toward the outlet so that each increment of the mixture dwells in the mixing chamber for a relatively long interval of time which exceeds 15 seconds and can even exceed 40 or 50 seconds. The mixing chamber defines a sump for a supply of the mixture, and the rate at which the material leaves the chamber equals or approximates the rate of admission of constituents into the chamber so that the quantity of material which forms the supply is constant. Such supply is agitated by blades, paddles, vanes, grates, lattices or like devices to ensure continuous penetration of air into the material which dwells in, as well as the material which advances through, the mixing chamber.Type: GrantFiled: October 30, 1981Date of Patent: May 22, 1984Assignees: Mathis Systemtechnik GmbH, Wachter KG BaustoffwerkInventors: Paul Mathis, Anton Wachter
