  • Publication number: 20170108397
Abstract: A leak detection system comprising a substantially sealed accumulation chamber adapted to accommodate a single gas container, the accumulation chamber being sealed so that when a gas container is in the accumulation chamber gas leaked from that container accumulates. An optical detector is provided for detecting leaked gas, the detector including an optical cell. A controller directs a reference sample to the optical cell and subsequently directs a sample from the from the accumulation chamber to the optical cell. The optical detector is operable use both the reference sample and the accumulation chamber sample to detect leaked gas.

  • Publication number: 20170032558
Abstract: Technologies for digitizing a physical version of a calendar include a mobile computing device. The mobile computing device receives a source image representative of a physical version of a calendar. The source image is cropped to an identified textual region of interest to generate a cropped source image. The mobile computing device analyzes the cropped source image to identify time management data included therein. A calendar event is generated based at least in part on the identified time management data. The mobile computing device stores the generated calendar event in a local calendar database. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 9544080
Abstract: The invention includes, among other things, a system for passing TDM traffic through a packet switch. In one embodiment, the system includes a packet switch that has a plurality of data ports and is capable of routing FSDU packets between the plurality of data ports. A TDM encapsulation circuit process a TDM data flow that is incoming to the switch. A circuit demultiplexer processes the incoming data flow to buffer data associated with different TDM circuits into different buffer locations. A timer monitors the amount of time available to fill the FSDU, and when the time period reaches the frame boundary, an FSDU generator generates an FSDU that is filled with data associated with the TDM circuits. Header information is added for allowing the packet switch to route the generated FSDU to a port associated with the respective TDM circuit.

  • Publication number: 20160376767
Abstract: Methods, systems and apparatus for variable-depth microtrenching (e.g., for burying fiber optic cables, electrical conductors, and conduits beneath a ground surface of a road or other byway). An automated blade adjustment mechanism coupled to a cutting blade adjusts a depth of the microtrench by raising or lowering the cutting blade during the microtrenching operation. The ability to raise or lower the cutting blade in an automated fashion during the microtrenching operation facilitates effective microtrenching through elevated or depressed obstacles (e.g., speed bumps, curbs, water drainage channels) that may be present in a byway for vehicles or pedestrians. In particular, in one example, substantially uninterrupted formation of a microtrench through an elevated or depressed obstacle may be achieved in a single swath without stopping the microtrenching operation and while maintaining a substantially uniform, or minimum prescribed, microtrench depth.

  • Publication number: 20160201291
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for cutting a trench (e.g., for a fiber optic cable or wire conductors) in an existing covering surface (e.g., a road surface). Debris from the cut trench is evacuated (e.g., vacuumed) from the trench as the trench is cut. The trench may be backfilled using a flowable composition. In one example, the flowable composition rigidifies after being flowed into the trench, and thereafter is substantially impermeable (e.g., having a hydraulic permeability of less than 0.0000001 cm/s upon drying), non-compressible and/or non-expanding.

  • Patent number: 9357859
Abstract: A bracket for supporting and displaying a planar object comprises an elongated body member including a planar web and a front wall and a rear wall extending from the longitudinal edges of the web. An end wall extends transversely with respect to and engages the distal ends of the web, the front wall and the rear wall such that the web and the front and rear walls and the end wall define a longitudinal channel open at the proximal end and closed at the distal end for supporting the objects. A pair of arms extend rearwardly from the body member. At least one of the arms is resiliently deflectable for engagement and retention of the lugs in an aperture of a mounting substrate. During connection, lugs on the arms are adapted to engage the portion of the mounting substrate defining the aperture for moving the arms inwardly so that the lugs pass through the aperture for permitting the arms to move outwardly and the lugs to engage the mounting substrate.

  • Patent number: 9244744
Abstract: According to an embodiment of the present invention, a system assigns at least one workload a hard share quantity and at least one other workload a soft share quantity or a hard share quantity. The system allocates a resource to the workloads based on the hard share quantity and the soft share quantity of active workloads in a predefined interval. A hard share quantity indicates a maximum resource allocation and a soft share quantity enables allocation of additional available processor time. Embodiments of the present invention further include a method and computer program product for allocating a resource to workloads in substantially the same manner as described above.

  • Patent number: 9203226
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for cutting a trench (e.g., for a fiber optic cable or wire conductors) in an existing covering surface (e.g., a road surface), wherein the trench has a depth of approximately 10 to 12 inches and a width of approximately 0.5 to 1.25 inches. Debris from the cut trench is evacuated (e.g., vacuumed) from the trench as the trench is cut. The trench may be backfilled by flowing a non-shrinking composition into at least a portion of the trench and, after hardening of the non-shrinking composition, applying a topping material to a remaining portion of the trench. In one example, the non-shrinking composition is configured to rigidify within one hour of being flowed into the trench, be substantially impermeable thereafter (e.g., having a hydraulic permeability of less than 0.0000001 cm/s upon drying), and be non-compressible and non-expanding.

  • Publication number: 20150331422
Abstract: In embodiments of an autonomous vehicle interface system, system nodes are each implemented as a distributed node for independent data processing of low-level sensor data and/or high-level system data. The high-level system data is abstracted from the low-level sensor data, providing invariance to system configuration in higher-level processing algorithms. The autonomous vehicle interface system includes at least one real-time bus for data communications of the low-level sensor data and the high-level system data between the system nodes. The system also includes an application programming interface (API) configured for access by the system nodes to the low-level sensor data and the high-level system data that is published on the real-time bus and accessible via the API.

  • Publication number: 20150256437
Abstract: At times, it may be desirable to determine that a client system is, or to determine the number of client systems that are, presenting particular dynamic content when an auditable event occurs in the dynamic content. One manner of making the determination may include accessing presentation time information that indicates the time(s) at which one or more client systems present particular dynamic content and accessing event time information indicating the time(s) at which one or more auditable events occur in the dynamic particular content. Based on the presentation time information and the event time information, it may be possible to determine that a client system is, or to determine the number of client systems that are, presenting particular dynamic content when an auditable event occurs in the dynamic content.
