Abstract: A method for optimizing a knee arthroplasty surgical procedure includes receiving pre-operative data comprising (i) anatomical measurements of the patient, (ii) soft tissue measurements of the patient's anatomy, and (iii) implant parameters identifying an implant to be used in the knee arthroplasty surgical procedure. An equation set is selected from a plurality of pre-generated equation sets based on the pre-operative data. During the knee arthroplasty surgical procedure, patient-specific kinetic and kinematic response values are generated and displayed using an optimization process. The optimization process includes collecting intraoperative data from one or more surgical tools of a computer-assisted surgical system, and using the intraoperative data and the pre-operative data to solve the equation set, thereby yielding the patient-specific kinetic and kinematic response values. A visualization is then provided of the patient-specific kinetic and kinematic response values on the displays.

  • Publication number: 20250255684
Abstract: A teleoperational medical system comprises a plurality of manipulators configured to support an imaging instrument and one or more medical instruments. The system further comprises one or more processors communicatively coupled to the imaging instrument and the one or more medical instruments. The processor(s) are configured to display a field of view captured by the imaging instrument, and present, within the displayed field of view, a first indicator that corresponds to a first medical instrument of the one or more medical instruments. The first indicator is presented at a default location associated with the first medical instrument. The processor(s) are further configured to determine, for the first indicator, an alternate location associated with the first medical instrument, and update presentation of the first indicator such that the first indicator is moved from the default location to the alternate location.

  • Publication number: 20250257831
Abstract: A clamping ring for a fitting for a pipe which is to be sealed off from the exterior, including a plurality of ring elements and a plurality of hinge elements for pivotally connecting two respective ring elements. The ring elements are designed to hold and/or fix a pipe to be plugged in, the ring elements are strip-shaped by virtue of the hinge elements, and the ring elements can assume a flat shape or a laterally open annular shape. The clamping ring solves the techni-cal problem of providing a clamping ring with which the production of the clamping ring is simplified and which is designed to have a more flexible use. The invention also relates to a fitting including a clamping ring.

  • Publication number: 20250260300
Abstract: A hair clipper has a fixed blade, a reciprocating blade and a vibratory motor. The vibratory motor has a reciprocating armature operatively connected to the reciprocating blade, an electromagnet and a spring. The armature and the electromagnet are separated by an air gap. The armature moves during operation, which causes the air gap to change as the armature reciprocates. The electromagnet has a wire wound around a metallic core to form a plurality of windings. The electromagnet has an inductance that varies as the armature reciprocates and the air gap changes. A first end of the wire is electrically connected to an alternating current power source, and a second end of the wire is electrically connected to a first lead of a capacitor. The capacitor has a second lead which is electrically connected to the alternating current power source.

  • Publication number: 20250255464
Abstract: A single-use electronic endoscope has a hub, a shaft extending from the hub, flexible or rigid as desired, and an expandable distal tip extending from the shaft. Within the distal tip, an image sensor provides a field of view external from the endoscope. Illuminating elements or light guides within the distal tip emit light to illuminate the field of view. The distal tip also has a variable profile working channel that permits tools to be passed from the hub and into the field of view. The expandable working channel changes cross-sectional shape from a generally noncircular shape to a shape to accommodate the cross-sectional shape of the tool when expanded.
