    Abstract: A photovoltaic (PV) cell comprises a base substrate which comprises silicon and includes at least one doped region. The PV cell further comprises a collector disposed on the doped region of the base substrate and having a lower portion in physical contact with the doped region of the base substrate, and an upper portion opposite the lower portion. The PV cell further comprises an electrically conductive layer which is electrically isotropic or anisotropic and disposed adjacent the collector. The electrically conductive layer is in electrical communication with the base substrate via the collector. The electrically conductive layer comprises a binder and electrically conductive particles comprising at least one metal selected from the group consisting of Group 8 through Group 14 metals of the Periodic Table of Elements. The electrically conductive particles impart isotropic or anisotropic electrical conductivity to the electrically conductive layer.

    Abstract: A process for preparing silicone emulsions is disclosed based on using an ethylene oxide/propylene oxide block copolymer as the emulsifier. The silicone emulsions comprise: A) 0.5 wt % to 95 wt % of a silicone resin or pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA), B) 0.1 to 90 wt % of a ethylene oxide/propylene oxide block copolymer, and sufficient amount of water to sum to 100 weight percent. The present disclosure further relates to a process for making a silicone resin emulsion comprising: I) forming a dispersion of; A) 100 parts of a silicone resin or PSA, B) 5 to 100 parts of a ethylene oxide/propylene oxide block copolymer, II) admixing a sufficient amount of water to the dispersion from step I) to form an emulsion, III) optionally, further shear mixing the emulsion.

    Abstract: A cylindrical cartridge used for the storage and protection of all types of barrier fencing. The devise is designed to extend the life of barrier fencing, reduce waste and reduce cost. The cartridge has an interior hollow pipe shaft with rollers mounted to the shaft to create a spool. The spool shaft extends through the top of the cartridge and is fitted with a manually operated crank handle. A vertical slotted opening in the side of the cartridge of varying widths dependent on the barrier material being used allows the extraction and retraction of the barrier fencing. The bottom of the cartridge has an opening in the centre equal to that of the interior dimension of the hollow shaft. The bottom opening allows for the mounting of the cartridge to a ground spike or stabilizing plate.

A retractor can be operated to pull the skive mount towards the mounting block so the spacer can be moved to select a desired spacing between the mounting block and the skive mount, and thus a desired gap between the metering skive and the toning member in the printer.

    Abstract: A trim system consisting of a top layer of veneer, which is connected and recessed into a medium to high-density fiberboard or substitute (lower layer) therein. The baseboard has a unique tongue and groove system and results in an interlocking system that by its nature, secures the baseboard snugly to the wall without the need for after nailing or glues or adhesives. Because the ledger board system is recessed into the core of the exterior trim piece, the ledger board holds the exterior molding snugly without adding any additional offset or distance from the wall. The result is a form fitting molding that mounts tightly, flexibly and securely to most surfaces easily. Since the substrate is made of a process waste or by-product fiberboard or substitute, it is environmentally friendly and more structurally stable than most hardwoods. Structurally stable meaning that it doesn't shrink, twist, contract, or warp like most woods do.

    Abstract: Supply chain management using a supplier portfolio index (SPI) is disclosed. A single risk and performance metric for a supplier can be used across portfolios at both the business unit and enterprise level. The SPI can be produced by stratifying suppliers to obtain a plurality of risk element scores, which in turn are used to obtain a composite supplier risk index. A supplier performance scorecard metric can also be determined by combining a plurality of individual performance metrics. The composite supplier risk index, the supplier performance scorecard metric, and an indication of supplier manager certification can be aggregated to produce SPI. Percentage weights can be applied to the composite supplier risk index, the supplier performance scorecard metric, and the indication of supplier manager certification status so that the SPI is indicated on a 100-point scale.
