  • Publication number: 20230166384
Abstract: An abrasive body comprises portions of a first abrasive element. The portions of the first abrasive element are bonded ogether by a first binder material. The first abrasive element comprises abrasive particles bonded to a substrate by at least a second binder material. The portions of the first abrasive element are not agglomerate abrasive particles. The abrasive body has a maximum dimension, and the portions of the first abrasive element have a maximum dimension that is less than 80 percent of the maximum dimension of the abrasive body. A method of making an abrasive body is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20180028036
Abstract: A scrubbing article 10 including a substrate 12 and a texture layer 14. The texture layer 14 is formed on to a surface 16 of the substrate 12 and includes a multiplicity of microparticles. In some embodiments, the multiplicity of microparticles comprises plastic microbubbles and/or ceramic microspheres that are substantially spherical. In related embodiments, at least some of the ceramic microspheres are solid, and in other embodiments at least some of the ceramic microspheres are glass microbubbles. The substrate 12 can assume various forms, such as nonwoven, fabric (e.g., woven or knitted), foam, film and sponge material or combinations thereof.

  • Publication number: 20170181596
Abstract: The curved cleaning element is made by providing a cleaning material with a back surface and a working surface that together define a volume and thickness. A portion of the cleaning material is removed at a pivot zone. The pivot zone separates the cleaning material into a first portion and second portion. At the pivot zone, the cleaning material has less thickness and/or less volume as compared to either the first or second portions. In one embodiment, the back surface of the first portion of the cleaning material is attached to a support and the second portion of the cleaning material is pivoted at the pivot zone. The second portion of the cleaning material is secured to either the support or the first portion of the cleaning material to form a continuously curving working surface of the cleaning material.
