  • Patent number: 11970290
Abstract: This disclosure discloses a method comprising: positioning a stencil having an opening onto an aerospace part such that the aerospace part is accessible through the opening; positioning a masking medium onto the aerospace part through the opening; removing the stencil from the aerospace part such that the masking medium remains on the aerospace part and treating the aerospace part with the masking medium thereon.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 5, 2019
Date of Patent: April 30, 2024
    Assignee: ORIZON AEROSTRUCTURES, LLC
Inventors: Mitch Flood, Tyler Barnhart, Richard Paul Newell

  • Patent number: 9094674
Abstract: Techniques for creating 3-D movies allow improved control over camera positioning parameters and editing of depth in post-process to provide for a smoother variation in the viewer's convergence distance and a more pleasant viewing experience. A director can define reference parameters related to a desired viewing experience, and camera positioning parameters are derived therefrom. A depth script specifying piecewise continuous variations in reference parameters can be applied in post-process to generate 3-D shots, scenes, or movies. These techniques can be applied in both computer-generated and live-action 3-D movies.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 17, 2013
Date of Patent: July 28, 2015
    Assignee: DISNEY ENTERPRISES, INC.
Inventors: Andrew Hendrickson, Paul Newell, Robert Neuman, Philip McNally

  • Patent number: 5687022
Abstract: A lens system with a liquid optical element is for use in the mid-wave infrared from 3.0 micron to 5.0 micron wavelength is described. Using a liquid optical element which is highly transmissive in the 3.0 micron to 5.0 micron waveband of interest in conjunction with a solid material which is also highly transmissive in that waveband provides a lens design with very good optical performance which is less expensive and which is much lighter in weight than an all solid design of the same optical performance.
