  • Patent number: 11421384
Abstract: Provided are tissue webs and products that have a modest degree of surface texture, but are still soft. In certain instances the tissue products and webs may also have good sheet bulk and low stiffness. For example, the tissue products may have good softness, such as a TS7 value (measured using the EMTEC Tissue Softness Analyzer) less than 11.0, and a textured surface, such as an R2 value from about 11,000 to about 20,000 (measured using an OpTiSurf tester). The foregoing tissue products may have a sheet bulk greater than about 8.0 cc/g and a Stiffness Index less than about 15.0. In certain instances the tissue product and webs may be through-air dried and may be either creped or uncreped.

  • Publication number: 20220204651
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the preparation of micro- or nano crystalline cellulosic compositions from virgin cellulose containing amorphous and crystalline cellulose phases comprising the following steps: (A) contacting virgin cellulose with a first solvent, characterized in that the first solvent is an aqueous solution comprising 40-65 wt. % ZnCl2 in water, relative to the total weight of the of ZnCl2 and water, (B) dissolving the amorphous cellulosic phase, whereby the amorphous cellulosic phase is preferentially dissolved over the crystalline cellulosic phase, (C) separating the dissolved amorphous cellulose from the crystalline cellulose and preferably step C wherein the obtained micro- or nanocellulose has XRD type I structure, which then can be contacted with a second solvent comprising between 65 and 90 wt. % ZnCl2 in water to produce delaminated cellulose having XRD type II structure.

  • Patent number: 11321332
Abstract: The present disclosure involves systems, software, and computer implemented methods for automatically recommending one or more frequencies for time series data. One example method includes receiving a request for an insight analysis for an input time series included in a dataset. For each of multiple frequencies to analyze, the input time series is transformed into a frequency time series. An absolute percentage change impact factor and an absolute trend impact factor are determined for each frequency time series. A frequency interest score is determined based on the determined absolute percentage change factors and the determined absolute trend impact factors, for each time frequency time series. The frequency interest score is provided for at least some of the frequency time series.

  • Publication number: 20220022927
Abstract: A bolster system having a first bolster device, a second bolster device, and an adjustable tether that includes a one-way pre-tied slideable adjustment knot. The adjustment knot is at a first position prior to insertion of the first bolster device into a passageway in one or more bones. The second bolster device includes a body portion having an outer portion that is sized to be received in the passageway and/or in an aperture of a bone plate. The body portion also includes a channel that is sized to accommodate recessed and/or embedded placement of the pre-tied slideable adjustment knot. The second bolster device can also include an oversized plate portion that abuts against a cortex of a bone or a wall of a bone plate. The second bolster device can also include a threaded member or retention tab that lockingly secures the second bolster device to a bone plate.

  • Publication number: 20210357417
Abstract: The present disclosure involves systems, software, and computer implemented methods for ranking time dimensions. One example method includes receiving a request for an insight analysis for a dataset that includes a value dimension and a set of multiple date dimensions. Each date dimension is converted into a time series and a value quality factor is determined for each time series that represents a level of data quality for the time series. A time series informative factor is determined for each time series that represents how informative the time series is within a specified time window. An insight score is determined, for each time dimension, based on the determined value quality factors and the determined time series informative factors. The insight score for the time dimension is provided, for at least some of the time dimensions.
