  • Publication number: 20220215418
Abstract: Decentralized computer systems and methods are disclosed for establishing and conducting payment processing with loyalty points using distributed ledger. One method includes: receiving a consumer identification, an issuer identification, and transaction information from a point of sale system when the loyalty card is presented for a transaction of a good or service at a merchant, identifying the network node containing distributed ledger associated with the issuer according to received issuer identification prompting, to participants of the shared ledger, to validate whether the consumer distributed ledger has required loyalty points for the transaction; if all of the participants of the shared ledger accepts the transaction, generating, a new immutable entry to the distributed ledger for the transaction with remaining loyalty points in the loyalty card after deducting the points required for the transaction; and sending a transaction approved message to the point of sale system at the merchant.

  • Publication number: 20210097889
Abstract: A slope measurement and drawing aid (100) for teaching mathematics having unique indicia (130), rational-numeric slope values (184), and mathematical information (192), and a method of identifying the correct rational-numeric slope value associated with the graph of a given line, either by means of a gravity-activated indicator arm (140), or by means of the orientation of the teaching aid. For instructional purposes, when used in a classroom setting, the teaching aid can be removably held on a vertical board by magnetic (240R) or other means. When used in an individual setting, a smaller version of the teaching aid can similarly be used in a horizontal orientation on paper.

  • Publication number: 20180275139
Abstract: In some embodiments, the present invention provides methods for predicting flare in subjects with autoimmune disease (e.g., lupus erythematosus). In some embodiments, pending flares may be reduced in severity and/or prevented from clinical manifestation in their entirety using provided methods. In some embodiments, the present invention provides methods for preventing or reducing the severity of a flare including the steps of determining in a sample from a subject suffering from lupus erythematosus a complement activation potential, administering a treatment or implementing a change in treatment if the complement activation potential is about 25% or higher, wherein a complement activation potential of about 25% or higher indicates that the subject will experience a flare within 30 days.

  • Patent number: 9939446
Abstract: A method for treating an individual at risk for a complement-associated disorder is provided, the method including: (a) obtaining a sample of a body fluid from the individual; (b) measuring a complement activation level in the sample via a point-of-care lateral flow immunoassay; (c) correlating the complement activation level in the sample to a risk of a complement-associated disorder by comparing the complement activation level in the sample to a reference level in a control, wherein a deviation in complement activation level in the sample compared to the reference level in the control indicates the individual is at risk for a complement-associated disorder; (d) selecting a treatment for the individual, based on the correlating of step (c); and (e) treating the individual with the treatment selected in accordance with step (d).
