  • Patent number: 11915333
Abstract: A method of verifying that a user is authorized to access a secured area via an entry point includes receiving at a first computer and from a user device associated with the user, check-in request information that includes: a membership number associated with the user and a travel event; and a lounge location. The method also includes generating a time stamp for the receipt of the check-in request; verifying that the membership number is a valid membership number; and verifying that the time stamp is within a predetermined window of time. The method also includes sending, in response to the verification, instructions from the first computer to a second computer positioned near the entry point to display a window that includes user information associated with the user.

  • Patent number: 11579019
Abstract: A battery-free sensor probe and system for measuring the temperature of food The sensor probe includes a probe portion and a handle. The probe portion has a temperature sensor, a circuit board and a radio frequency identification device. The handle has an antenna connected to radio frequency identification device and the circuit board. The sensor probe harvests energy from a radio frequency transmitter positioned near the sensor probe.

  • Publication number: 20230023351
Abstract: A floating barrier float section, and a waterfront barrier system formed from a number of connected float sections. An elongated main flotation tube has radially outwardly extending fence posts with connecting members, such as nets, between them, forming multiple longitudinal net sections about the circumference of the flotation tube, at least one of the net sections extending upwardly and forming a barrier to vessel passage. A vessel strike tends to rotate the flotation tube about its longitudinal axis, absorbing the energy from the strike and rotating the flotation tube to bring another net section into position. An underwater ballast member and a stabilizer float member may be added for additional resistance to rotation.

  • Patent number: 11371808
Abstract: A boat gate system for controlling vessel access to a port or similar waterbody has a number of connected, floating Port Security Barrier (“PSB”) segments. A remote latching and unlatching mechanism, combined with a powered mover mounted on one or more PSB segments, permits remote unlatching of the PSB segments; moving the PSB segments to a desired location (whether rotating same about a point, or moving a longer section laterally) so as to open the PSB, then moving the PSBs back to a closed position and latching same. Both the unlatching, movement, and latching are remotely controlled. Positional indicators, for example Global Positioning Systems or similar systems, are provided to monitor and assist in controlling PSB segment movement and unlatching, and movement of the PSB segments in a desired direction to a desired location.

  • Publication number: 20170063005
Abstract: Array connector includes a connector body having a mating side. The connector body includes a plurality of substrate layers that are stacked side-by-side and have respective mating edges that form the mating side. The substrate layers form a plurality of interfaces in which each interface is defined between adjacent substrate layers. The adjacent substrate layers of each interface are shaped to form a plurality of channels. The array connector also includes communication lines that are disposed within corresponding channels of the connector body such that the communication lines extend along the interfaces. The communication lines are at least one of wire conductors or optical fibers. The communication lines have respective mating terminals that are positioned proximate to the mating side and form a terminal array.
