Abstract: A test apparatus (1) has a temperature controlled chuck (8) which provides good mechanical stability across a wide temperature range. This significantly reduces the number of times the probes (9) must be re-positioned, and in some cases eliminates such re-positioning. The chuck (8) has a support plate (20) which is connected to a base plate (35) by pillars (40) which have a low thermal expansion coefficient. This limits thermal expansion between the support plate (20) and the base plate (35). In addition, the heat transfer means is mounted so that thermal expansion is accommodated internally.

Abstract: A heat protector visor (10) comprising an arcuate panel (12) to fit against a forehead (13) on a head (14) of a person 16. A bill (18) projects forwardly and curves upwardly from the arcuate panel (12). A structure (20) on the arcuate panel (12) is for gripping sides of the head (14) of the person (16). When the person (16) sits under a portable electric hair dryer (22), the upwardly curved bill (18) will deflect heated air (24) away from a face (26) of the person (16), back up into an air chamber (28) of the portable electric hair dryer (22) and onto hair (30) on hair rollers (31) upon the head (14) of the person (16). The heated air (24) will be maximized to dry the hair (30) much faster, reduce operating time and electricity needed to operate the portable electric hair dryer (22).

Abstract: A paint tray (10) for a stepladder (12) which comprises a structure (14) for storing work materials (16), tools (18) and a paint bucket (20) in an organized manner, so that a person can conveniently utilize the work materials (16), tools (18) and paint bucket (20) therefrom. A facility (22) is for retaining the storing structure (14) to the stepladder (12) in a safe dependable manner, so that the work materials (16), tools (18) and paint bucket (20) are maintained within the storing structure (14), while the storing structure (14) will be firmly held in place onto the stepladder (12) by the retaining facility (22).
