  • Publication number: 20240090721
Abstract: A robotic cleaner includes a housing, a suction conduit with an opening, and a leading roller mounted in front of a brush roll. An inter-roller air passageway may be defined between the leading roller and the brush roll wherein the lower portion of the leading roller is exposed to a flow path to the suction conduit and an upper portion of the leading roller is outside of the flow path. Optionally, a combing unit includes a plurality of combing protrusions extending into the leading roller and having leading edges not aligned with a center of the leading roller. Optionally, a sealing strip is located along a rear side of the opening and along a portion of left and right sides of the opening. The underside may define side edge vacuum passageways extending from the sides of the housing partially between the leading roller and the sealing strip towards the opening.

  • Publication number: 20230257081
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a marine vessel location awareness device and method of using the device. The marine vessel location awareness device can include electronic components such as a sensor system, a global positioning system (GPS), a tidal gauge device, an alert system, and a microcontroller. The draft sensor can be configured to measure draft data of the marine vessel. The GPS can be configured to measure the position of the marine vessel. The tidal gauge device can be configured to measure a water level of a water body the marine vessel is traveling relative to a vertical datum. The alert system can be configured to alert the marine vessel to enter an active state when the water condition transmitted to the alert system is the unsafe water condition, when the alert system is in the active state, an alert is activated.

  • Patent number: 9458582
Abstract: A ferry bridge having two sets of posts anchored on either side of a thoroughfare, support at height a deck over which a carriage moves, wherein a pod is suspended from said carriage for providing the transport of vehicles and passengers between two ferry docks on either side of said thoroughfare, the platform of said pod being divided into a central area dedicated to the transport of vehicles and two side areas dedicated to the transport of passengers. the entrances to the passenger transport areas are arranged on the outer lateral sides of the pod relative to the axis of movement (A) of the pod. The entrances to the vehicle transport area are arranged on the sides opposite said lateral sides, and the ferry docks for the pod comprise a means for separating the vehicles and the passengers into two streams directed toward the specific entrances thereof, respectively.

  • Publication number: 20150315752
Abstract: The invention relates to a ferry bridge in which two sets of posts anchored on either side of a thoroughfare, such as a river, support at height a deck over which a carriage moves, wherein a pod is suspended from said carriage for providing the transport of vehicles and passengers between two ferry docks on either side of said thoroughfare, the platform of said pod being divided into a central area dedicated to the transport of vehicles and two side areas dedicated to the transport of passengers. The entrances to the passenger transport areas (6) are arranged on the outer lateral sides of the pod (3) relative to the axis of movement (A) of the pod (3). The entrances to the vehicle transport area (5) are arranged on the sides opposite said lateral sides, and the ferry docks (7) for the pod (3) comprise a means for separating the vehicles and the passengers (11) into two streams directed toward the specific entrances thereof, respectively.

  • Patent number: 5394569
Abstract: An air venting apparatus to be mounted into the water tank of a water closet for evacuating to the outside of the room where the water closet is located the stale air escaping from the toilet bowl. The apparatus comprises a main, generally closed air chamber; a powered fan member, anchored into the air chamber for developing negative pressure therein; a support for supporting the air chamber at the top portion of the water tank whereby the fan remains constantly above water level. A siphon assembly is provided for fluidingly interconnecting in substantially air tight fashion the discharge pipe to an upstream section of the air chamber, whereby the siphon assembly is adaptable to fit discharge pipes of variable locations within the water tank; and a nozzle assembly is provided for fluidingly interconnecting a downstream end of the air chamber to the outside of the room. No modification of the water tank nor the water tank lid is required for the installation of this apparatus.
