  • Publication number: 20240127640
Abstract: A system and method for visually warning a person of a dangerous condition related to the proximity of the person to a machine is provided. The system includes a transmitter system located on the machine, a locator for being carried by the person, an algorithm performed at the transmitter for determining coordinates of the locator relative to the transmitter system, data input into the controller defining one or more safety zones around the machine, a warning indicator for generating a signal when the locator enters any of the one or more safety zones, and a lamp associated with the person. The lamp may be a spot lamp for illuminating the area around the person, and it may also include one or more warning lamps associated with the warning indicator such that the one or more warning lamps are illuminated when the locator enters either of the safety zones.

  • Publication number: 20240081693
Abstract: Systems and methods for processing sensor analyte data are disclosed, including initiating calibration, updating calibration, evaluating clinical acceptability of reference and sensor analyte data, and evaluating the quality of sensor calibration. The sensor can be calibrated using a calibration set of one or more matched sensor and reference analyte data pairs. Reference data resulting from benchtop testing an analyte sensor prior to its insertion can be used to provide initial calibration of the sensor data. Reference data from a short term continuous analyte sensor implanted in a user can be used to initially calibrate or update sensor data from a long term continuous analyte sensor.

  • Patent number: 10738808
Abstract: A clamp for mounting a structure on a support. The clamp includes a fixed jaw, a base, and a moveable thruster plate between the fixed jaw and the base. The clamp includes a thruster cylinder configured to be rotatably received through the clamp body and having threads that engage a screw so that when the thruster cylinder rotates, the screw is advanced or retracted to move the thruster plate into and out of engagement with the support. A knob is used to rotate the thruster cylinder. The clamp includes a friction washer or collet located between the thruster cylinder and the clamp body. The clamp is configured so that when the thruster plate engages the support, further axial movement of the screw is prevented and further rotation of the knob and thruster cylinder compresses the friction washer or collet.

  • Publication number: 20050247136
Abstract: A new and useful wireline extensometer is provided that uses a tensioned cable extending between a supply spool and an anchor (e.g. of a type connected to a slope mass), measures movement of the cable to reflect movement of the anchor (e.g. due to movement of the slope mass), and includes a magnetic brake configured to provide a predetermined constant non-frictional braking force on the supply spool. The preferred wireline extensometer is designed to (i) minimize the risk of the extensometer reporting data that suggest slope movement where the slope mass has not moved to an undesirable extent, (ii) measure slope movement at relatively slow rates as well as rapid rates, and to (iii) measure slope mass movements continuously, and in a manner that can be efficiently and effectively communicated to responsible personnel.

  • Patent number: 4740812
Abstract: An optical imaging system for producing and applying image masks consisting of an original object holder, an image forming optical system, recording means for the image formed, processing means for the recorded image, means for maintaining the recorded image in precise register with the original object. The recorded image is projected back on the original in a modified form by means of adding and controlling optical flare in the imaging system to control image contract and by well known means control image color and sharpness. This modified projected image in register with the original objects acts as a mask for image enhancement. The resulting enhanced image can then be recorded by photographic film or paper and other ray recording devices.
