A second conduit means connects a fuel pumping means with an engine fuel inlet means. Pressure sensing means communicates with the first conduit means, and the pressure sensing means operates a warning means to produce a warning when the pressure in the first conduit means reaches a predetermined low level. When used with an engine including a cooling system and a cooling system temperature sensing means communicating with the engine cooling system, the temperature sensing means operates the same pressure warning means to produce a warning when the temperature in the engine cooling system reaches a predetermined level.

Abstract: A fuel system for a dual fuel outboard motor having a fuel connector in position to have a second connector connected to it to enable fuel to be transfered to the motor from a remote fuel tank via a hose leading to the second connector. A small tank of starting fuel is mounted on the motor and has a vent and a vent conduit leading to a valve in the motor-mounted fuel connector. The valve opens and closes the vent in response to connection and disconnection, respectively, of the connectors.

The carburetor also includes a fuel chamber and a fuel inlet valve which controls the introduction of fuel into the chamber. A control rod is operative for movement axially along and rotationally about its longitudinal axis. The control rod is operatively linked with both the choke valve and the fuel inlet valve such that movement of the control rod in one of its axial and rotational directions operates the choke valve and movement of the control rod in the other one of the axial and rotational directions operates the fuel inlet valve.
