  • Patent number: 9463746
Abstract: An endgate assembly includes a first panel that has a first hinge axis, a second panel hinged to the first panel at a second hinge axis that is spaced from and generally parallel with the first hinge axis, and a third panel hinged to the second panel at a third hinge axis and pivotable about the third hinge axis from a stowed position generally parallel with the second panel to a use position generally perpendicular to the second panel. The third panel has a proximal portion and a distal portion. The proximal portion and the distal portion are divided by the third hinge axis. The second panel has a recess adjacent the third hinge axis that receives the proximal portion and has a first surface at the recess positioned to establish the use position of the third panel by contacting the proximal portion and reacting loading of the distal portion.

  • Patent number: 9233713
Abstract: An adjustable knuckle/steer arm assembly and method for adjusting a toe curve setting of a vehicle wheel is provided. The adjustable knuckle/steer arm assembly includes a knuckle and a steer arm. The steer arm is pivotally connected to the knuckle at a pivot. One of the knuckle and the steer arm has a slot formed therein and the other has a connector member which engages the slot. The steer arm is angularly adjustable with respect to the knuckle via adjustable engagement of the connector member along the slot to enable the toe curve setting to be adjusted.

  • Patent number: 6604794
Abstract: A vehicle wheel assembly includes a hub, a drum, and disc wheels that are mounted together for rotation about a common axis. The hub has a cylindrical body with a hub mounting flange that extends out radially from the body. The body defines an exterior surface having a common drum and wheel pilot. The drum has a drum mounting flange with a peripheral edge that is aligned relative to the drum and wheel pilot. The disc wheels each have wheel mounting flanges with a peripheral edges aligned relative to the drum and wheel pilot. Thus, the drum and wheels are mounted on a common pilot surface formed on the hub. The single pilot significantly reduces the occurrence of drum misalignment and possible drum fracture.

  • Patent number: 5873636
Abstract: A balance weight retention system for a vehicle whcel or a vehicle hub including an inner portion and an outer portion having a non-threaded opening formed therethrough and a balance weight having a non-threaded opening formed therethrough. A fastener extends through the non-threaded opening of the balance weight and into the non-threaded opening of the outer portion of the wheel or hub to thereby secure the balance weight to the associated vehicle wheel or vehicle hub.
