Abstract: Computer-implemented methods for optimizing income sources in an investment portfolio over a specified course of years. Once input data concerning household income sources, investment assets, preferences and putative strategies have been received, sources of income available to the household in a first year are then optimized on the basis of a first set of simulation assumptions. Sources include social security, investment income, withdrawals from accounts, and annuity income. Iteration over a specified retirement period yields an optimized sequence of income, as well as recommended sources of income and investment allocations.

Abstract: Computer-implemented methods for transforming an investment portfolio that contains at least one separately-managed subaccount. Once instructions are received from a user with respect to cashflows, a net present value of future income is calculated for each separately managed subaccount considered as included within a taxable account or tax-advantaged account. A gap is then calculated between current and expected after-tax values of incremental withdrawals from each of the taxable and tax-advantaged accounts, as well as risk, tax, and location scores. On the basis of a combination score, putative trades are evaluated, with sales and purchases assigned to subaccounts, and the investment portfolio is transformed by implementing trades on the basis of the forgoing processes.

Abstract: Systems and methods configured to alert a portfolio manager (or other asset manager, investor, or proxy) as to the presence of a trade opportunity, such as an order, acceptance of which would improve a portfolio managed by the portfolio manager. The systems and methods may facilitate trading in securities that are illiquid, and additionally may increase anonymity in placing orders.
