    Abstract: A catheter pump is disclosed. The catheter pump can include an impeller and a catheter body having a lumen in which waste fluid flows proximally therethrough during operation of the catheter pump. The catheter pump can also include a drive shaft disposed inside the catheter body. A motor assembly can include a chamber. The motor assembly can include a rotor disposed in the at least a portion of the chamber, the rotor mechanically coupled with a proximal portion of the drive shaft such that rotation of the rotor causes the drive shaft to rotate, the rotor including a longitudinal rotor lumen therethrough. The motor assembly can also comprise a stator assembly disposed about the rotor. During operation of the catheter pump, the waste fluid flows from the lumen into the chamber such that at least a portion of the waste fluid flows proximally through the longitudinal rotor lumen.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to oil-in-water emulsion compositions useful for topical application to human skin. These compositions comprise from about 5% to about 60% by weight of the total composition of an oil phase having a viscosity from about 3000 cps to about 10,000,000 cps, wherein the oil phase comprises from about 0.1% to about 10% by weight of the total composition of a particulate thickener for the oil phase, and from 0% to about 10% by weight of the total composition of an oil phase emulsifier. These compositions also comprise from about 40% to about 95% by weight of the total composition of an aqueous phase selected from the group consisting of water, water-miscible solvents, and mixtures thereof, wherein the aqueous phase comprises from 0% to about 10% by weight of the total composition of an aqueous phase emulsifier. In these compositions the weight percentages of the oil phase emulsifier and of the aqueous phase emulsifer are not simultaneously zero.

    Abstract: A pressure sensitive touch pad system, for example employing variable capacitance touch pads, employs low cost transducers subject to parameter drift and periodically (e.g. once each second) re-calibrates each touch pad. The periodic re-calibration allows a low cost transducer to be used for multi-point operation, as well as for simple on/off operation, such as for function selection. One application is to provide different slew rates for setting a data entry indicator, for example indicating the value of an appliance function.

These antiperspirant gel sticks provide very stable antiperspirant compositions with good efficacy as well as excellent cosmetic anesthetics which are further characterized by their ease of manufacture. Also disclosed is a method for the manufacture of these gel sticks as well as a method for treating or preventing perspiraton and malodor associated with human underarm perspiration.
