  • Patent number: 11362582
Abstract: A desired OFF period module is configured to determine a desired OFF period for a plurality of switches of a PFC circuit based on an input voltage and an output voltage. A blanking timer module is configured to output a blanking signal, set the blanking signal to a first state when a countdown timer is greater than zero, and set the blanking signal to a second state when the countdown timer reaches zero. A switching control module is configured to: transition a first switch of the plurality of switches from an ON state to an OFF state in response to (i) a measured current through an inductor of the PFC circuit being greater than a demanded current through the inductor and (ii) the blanking signal being in the second state; and maintain the first switch in the OFF state for the desired OFF period after the transition.

  • Patent number: 9386730
Abstract: A turbine engine may include a modular power electronics distribution system having a plurality of modules connectable to a pluggable interface. The pluggable interface may be configured to receive and distribute power to the plurality of modules. Each module may include at least one fault isolation switch and a coolant system including an inlet and return line, as well as a metering valve. At least one power bus may be configured to provide electrical power to at least one of a load or a source via a functional segment. The functional segment may be operable to supply electrical power to the load in a desired form. The modular power electronics distribution system may include a controller in communication with the plurality of modules, the controller configured to control at least one fault isolation switch and metering valve.

  • Publication number: 20150249417
Abstract: A control method for a synchronous generator system is disclosed including performing a first parametric optimization to determine a desired stator current angle assuming fixed stator current magnitude and fixed field current magnitude. A second parametric optimization is then performed to determine a desired field current magnitude assuming fixed stator current magnitude and fixed stator current angle. A desired stator current magnitude is calculated using the desired stator current angle and the desired field current magnitude. Finally, the desired stator current magnitude, the desired stator current angle and the desired field current magnitude are output.
