  • Patent number: 7058834
Abstract: A scan-based state save and restore method and system for inactive state power reduction. An integrated circuit that has an inactive state has normal circuitry and scan circuitry. Upon receipt of a sleep signal, the state of the normal circuitry is accessed by employing scan circuitry. The state is then stored in a memory. The power is disconnected from the normal circuitry. Upon wake-up, the normal circuitry is re-connected to the power. The state of the circuit is accessed from the memory and restored to the normal circuitry by employing scan circuitry.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 26, 2001
Date of Patent: June 6, 2006
Inventors: Paul Richard Woods, Jay Dean McDougal

  • Patent number: 5980911
Abstract: The present invention relates generally to adjuvants which comprise a combination of at least two cytokines or functional derivatives thereof. More particularly, the present invention is directed to an adjuvant such as a vaccine adjuvant comprising at least two cytokines or functional derivatives thereof wherein the cytokines are selected from IL-1.beta. and TNF.alpha. or IL-1.beta. and GM-CSF. The present invention is farther directed to genetic adjuvants encoding at least two cytokines or derivatives thereof either separately or fused together. The present invention also contemplates a method for enhancing an immune response to an antigen comprising the administration of at least two cytokines which act in synergy to enhance an immune response to said antigen. The present invention is particularly useful in pharmaceutical vaccines and genetic vaccines in humans and livestock animals.

  • Patent number: 5707819
Abstract: A method for the diagnosis of Mycobacterium bovis infection in a susceptible animal, comprises detection in said animal of antibodies against the MPB-70 protein of M.bovis and/or the detection of a cell-mediated immune response of said animal to the said MPB-70 protein. Also disclosed is a recombinant DNA molecule corresponding to all or portion of the M.bovis DNA sequence coding for the MPB-70 protein or a polypeptide having the antigenicity of MPB-70 protein, or degenerate forms thereof, as well as recombinant MPB-70 protein or polypeptide and a process for the preparation thereof.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 31, 1995
Date of Patent: January 13, 1998
Assignee: Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation
Inventors: Paul Richard Wood, Anthony John Radford, Theodora Fifis
