  • Publication number: 20240167887
Abstract: The present disclosure provides for electrical connectivity to high temperature film sensor devices (e.g., temperature sensor devices). More particularly, the present disclosure provides for high temperature, thin film sensor devices (e.g., temperature sensor devices) having connection of wires and cabling from the cold side to the thin film sensor on the hot side. The disclosure provides assemblies and methods for that electrical connection to the leads or traces of the thin film sensor device (e.g., thin film temperature sensor device such as a thermocouple or a resistance temperature detector device) at the hot-cold barrier that exists in high temperature components (e.g., high temperature components in aero turbine engine applications). The assemblies and methods of the disclosure can be applied to any thin film device (e.g., sensor devices, such as, for example, strain gauges, heat flux sensors, etc.) that can be applied to the surface of a high temperature component.

  • Publication number: 20210370717
Abstract: A tire replacement apparatus is disclosed that has an electric motor with a drive shaft and a first gear concentrically connected to the drive shaft. The first gear may connect to a symmetrical bolt locking gear array having several bolt locking gears arranged such that each bolt locking gear rotates in the same direction that the first gear rotates. Each bolt locking gear may have a cylindrical hole at its center. The cylindrical hole may be outlined with an inner spiral thread, which connects to a set of power bolts that are outlined in an outer spiral thread which interlocks with the inner spiral thread.

  • Patent number: 10875150
Abstract: An automatic tire replacement apparatus is disclosed that has a hydraulic fluid line connected to a hydraulic fluid reservoir via a reservoir at one end a hydraulic fluid retainer at the other end. At least one hydraulic piston is provided that has a hollow barrel with an inner volume and an outer volume, a piston, and a piston rod with a first end and a second end within the inner volume of the hydraulic piston. The apparatus also contains a power rod, with a spiral thread, partially within the hollow barrel outer volume. The hollow barrel is connected to the hydraulic fluid retainer via an inner piston actuator and an outer piston actuator. The power rod is connected to the piston rod. A power bolt that has a set of inward facing pins is engaged with at least the power rod spiral thread.

  • Publication number: 20180357413
Abstract: Methods and systems for defending a computing system against malware are disclosed, including (a) determining which mode an active defense system (ADS) is enabled; (b) if passive mode, then log API calls; determining whether an exploit has executed on the computing system; if exploit has not executed, then continue logging API calls; and if exploit has executed, then using the ADS to analyze the log to determine API chain which resulted in the exploit and creating a new active defense API chain rule; and (c) if active mode, then monitoring process's API calls; determining whether the process's API calls match one of known active defense API chain rules; if API calls do not match, then continue monitoring the process's API calls; and if API calls do match, then using the ADS to deny the process's API call and/or kill the process. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 9349009
Abstract: Methods and systems for firmware based system security, integrity, and restoration are disclosed, including (a) determining in a pre-boot environment which mode a security and policy enforcement platform (“platform”) should be loaded into firmware of a computing system; (b) if the determination made in step (a) is that it is the first time for the platform to be loaded, then loading the platform into a setup mode; (c) if the determination made in step (a), above, is that a valid certificate from the platform is on a file system accessible in the firmware of the computing system, then loading the platform into a configuration mode; and (d) if the determination made in step (a), above, is that the platform is set to an active/active-test mode, then loading the platform into the active/active-test mode. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

  • Publication number: 20070291995
Abstract: The system, method, and apparatus of the present invention, address the problem of identity theft associated with the use of payment cards such as credit and debit cards, as well as identity theft associated with the use of identity cards such as driver's licenses and social security cards. An apparatus including a biometric input component that authenticates a system user is disclosed herein. Upon authentication, a proxy account number and a time varying security code are generated and displayed on the apparatus. The dynamically generated number and security code are then used to validate the user's identity within the system. Furthermore, the system, method, and apparatus of the present invention can be used to consolidate into one instrument, several payment and identity instruments.
