  • Publication number: 20210274909
Abstract: Implementations described herein include an assembly for applying a beauty product to an integument. The assembly may include a handle portion and an applicator portion. The handle portion may be suitably dimensioned to permit the applicator to be held between the thumb and at least one finger on opposing faces thereof. The opposing faces may be of sufficient width relative to the thickness separating the faces to allow rotation of the handle when held between the thumb and fingers. The applicator portion includes at its distal end at least one transfer element comprising a textured surface for holding and transferring a charge of beauty product to an integument in contact therewith. The at least one transfer element may extend substantially across the width of the applicator portion and in a direction orthogonal to a longitudinal axis of the handle.

  • Patent number: 8511924
Abstract: A dispenser for viscous materials has a housing with a moveable wall that divides the interior volume of the housing into a distal product chamber and a proximal pressure chamber. An outlet from the product chamber is located adjacent to the distal end of the housing and an air inlet is provided to allow air to enter the pressure chamber. Displacement of the product occurs when accumulated excess air pressure in the pressure chamber acts on the back of the movable wall. The excess air pressure is built up by a bellows assembly arranged in fluid communication with the pressure chamber. On actuation, the bellows can be reduced in volume and subsequently recover by entry of air through the inlet. The direction of force application is preferably perpendicular to the housing axis and the location of the bellows is preferably distant from the product outlet.
