The system may store, in a database, data for the event, including content of audio and video feeds of users in the event. The system may analyze a set of characteristics included in the content of the audio and video feeds. The system may alter, while the indication of the video feed of the user is being displayed, aspects of the displayed user interface other than the indication, where the altering is performed based on the analyzing.

Each regulator module configured to receive a respective input signal, indicative of a target or selected value, from the controller portion or the immediately preceding regulator module in the sequence, determine a respective selectable value; select one of the respective selectable value and the value indicated by the received input signal; and provide the selected value as an output signal to the next regulator module in the sequence or the integrator module. The integrator module is configured to receive the output signal from the last regulator module in the sequence, calculate a final demand value based on the received signal, and provide an output signal indicative of the final demand value.

    Abstract: A small-scale, batch-wise device to simulate high-shear, short-duration emulsification of fluids from various industrial processes at elevated temperatures and pressures for the purpose of determining the quality and stability of those emulsions under different conditions and with different additives. A threaded, transparent tube capable high temperature and pressure is fitted with a threaded bearing with a shaft sealed gas tight at two points with spring-loaded, internally-facing, open rings. A socket head on the external end of the shaft held on a high-speed motor-drive rotates mixing blades on the internal end of the shaft. Process fluids and additives are added to the tube with a vaporizing liquid. The tube is sealed, heated to the process temperature under pressure, then inverted onto the motor drive, by which the blades are rotated at high-speed for a short duration. The tube is righted and the emulsion observed over time at process temperature under pressure.

    Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to turbine engines and systems for active stability control of rotating compression systems utilizing an electric machine operatively coupled thereto. In one exemplary aspect, an electric machine operatively coupled with a compression system, e.g., via a shaft system, is controlled to provide shaft damping for instability fluctuations of the pressurized fluid stream within the compression system. Based on control data indicative of a system state of the compression system, a control parameter of the electric machine is adjusted to control or change an output of the shaft system. Adjusting the shaft system output by adjusting one or more control parameters of the electric machine allows the compression system to dampen instability fluctuations of the fluid stream within the compression system. A method for active stability control of a compression system operatively coupled with an electric machine via a shaft system is also provided.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure provide a thermal model based on an adaptive filter bank for characterizing heat transfer of a volume of a thermal system. In one embodiment, the adaptive filter bank is used for diagnostics that provides information related to the condition of a thermal system. The diagnostics are based on an analysis of heat transfer characteristics of a dynamic representation of the thermal system. In accordance with the embodiments, thermal coefficients are generated based on an adaptive filter bank. One or more filters are applied to the thermal coefficients based on a sampling rate and one or more estimate thermal coefficient thresholds are generated based on the sampling rate. It is determined whether at least one of the thermal coefficients that is filtered satisfies at least one of the estimated thermal coefficient thresholds. Thereupon, alert information indicative of a diagnostic event is provided based on the determination.

    Abstract: An electric machine having a hybrid insulative-conductive manifold is disclosed. In one aspect, an electric machine includes a manifold that includes an insulative plate and a conductive backplate positioned adjacent to the insulative plate. The insulative plate and the backplate define a first channel and a second channel therebetween. The electric machine also includes a prime winding and a secondary winding electrically isolated from the prime winding. The prime winding and the secondary winding are both in fluid communication with the first channel and the second channel. A terminal conductor extends through the backplate and insulative plate and is electrically coupled with the prime winding. The terminal conductor is electrically isolated from the backplate and provides cooling fluid to the prime winding and the first channel so that cooling fluid flows between the terminal conductor and the prime winding and between the terminal conductor and the first channel.
