  • Publication number: 20240034323
Abstract: A control system for controlling axle hop in a vehicle includes a sensor and an electronic controller. The sensor is configured to detect a vibration of an axle and to detect a wheel slip of a wheel. The electronic controller is configured to determine whether one of the detected axle vibration exceeds a first predetermined threshold or the detected wheel slip exceeds a second predetermined threshold. An engine traction control system is started upon determining that the one of the detected axle vibration exceeds the first predetermined threshold or that the detected wheel slip exceeds the second predetermined threshold.

  • Patent number: 10994746
Abstract: A vehicle dynamic control monitoring system includes a vehicle, a warning indicator, at least one vehicle dynamic control system (VDC), a tire pressure sensor and an electronic controller. The vehicle has a plurality of wheels rotatably mounted to the vehicle. The warning indicator is installed to the vehicle at a location visible to a vehicle operator. The at least one VDC and the tire pressure sensor are installed to the vehicle. The electronic controller is connected to the warning indicator, the at least one VDC and the tire pressure sensor. The electronic controller is configured such that in response to determining that at least one of the wheels has a tire pressure that is below a predetermined tire pressure range, the warning indicator is displayed indicating that the at least one VDC will operate with reduced effectiveness.

  • Publication number: 20090018059
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for maintaining pluripotency and/or self-renewing characteristics of stem/progenitor cells. The invention also relates to a method for modulating gene expression in a cell. The methods include contacting at least two transcription factors, or a functional fragment thereof, with the promoter region of the nanog gene. One of the at least two transcription factors is selected from the POU- and homeo-domain-containing transcription factors. Another of the at least two transcription factors is selected from the HMG domain-containing transcription factors. The method further comprises allowing the at least two transcription factors to form a complex with a specific binding element within the nanog promoter. The complex thus formed regulates nanog gene expression by mediating transcriptional activation.
