Patent number: 12286880Abstract: Methods and systems are provided that combine NMR and IR spectroscopy measurements on a rock sample to determine data representing at least one property of the rock sample. In one embodiment, cuttings can be split into first and second lots. Results of an NMR measurement performed on the first lot of cuttings without cleaning can be analyzed to determine pore volume of the cuttings. Results of an IR spectroscopy measurement performed on the second lot of cuttings after solvent cleaning can be analyzed to determine matrix density of the cuttings. Porosity can be determined from the pore volume and matrix density of the cuttings. In another embodiment, combined NMR and IR spectroscopy measurements can be performed on an unprepared rock sample (without solvent cleaning) to characterize properties of kerogen in the rock sample and porosity. In another aspect, a method is provided that employs multi-nucleic NMR measurements to determine porosity.Type: GrantFiled: November 17, 2022Date of Patent: April 29, 2025Assignee: SCHLUMBERGER TECHNOLOGY CORPORATIONInventors: Ravinath Kausik Kadayam Viswanathan, Shin Utsuzawa, Kamilla Fellah, Shawn David Taylor, MaryEllen Loan, Paul Ryan Craddock

Publication number: 20250033799Abstract: A method includes implementing, via an electronic controller of an aircraft, an extend command received by the electronic controller from a flight control computer to rotate a wingtip of a wing to a flight position. The method includes, in response to a first determination at the electronic controller that rotation of the wingtip stopped before the flight position during implementation of the extend command, sending a first notification signal to the flight control computer from the electronic controller to cause the aircraft to be grounded and to schedule maintenance of the aircraft. The first notification signal includes one or more first error codes. The first notification signal causes the maintenance to include wingtip-to-latch pin drop maintenance responsive to a determination of the electronic controller indicating that a first particular angle of the wingtip relative to a primary portion of the wing is in a latch pin interference range.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 24, 2023Publication date: January 30, 2025Inventors: Patrick McCormick, Christopher Bujnowski, George Moy, Sarah Sheeley, Endri Kerci, Austin Schantz, Paul Ryan Leonard, Caitlin Boxell, Erin Campbell, John W. Patent number: 11995853Abstract: A system and method for displaying augmented reality information for a real object. A transparent display displays the information for the real object within a field of view, such that the information and the real object are simultaneously viewable by a user. Data-gathering peripheral devices gather data of the field of view, including a camera gathering visual data for tracking the real object. An articulating arm moveably supports and facilitates repositioning the display and redirecting the data-gathering peripheral devices in a particular direction. A security interlock disables the data-gathering peripherals when the articulating arm is moved beyond a pre-established threshold, thereby preventing the data-gathering peripherals from gathering data of a real environment outside of a limit of the field of view as determined by the pre-established threshold. The security interlock may include an adjustable contact switch which adjustably defines the pre-established threshold in at least one direction.Type: GrantFiled: November 4, 2021Date of Patent: May 28, 2024Assignee: Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies, LLCInventors: Paul Ryan Runyan, Eric Eugene Cornwell
