  • Patent number: 9141134
Abstract: The enhanced feature of this invention is the direction of a pen input on an electronic device to a separate canvas where it can be separately manipulated and processed for use. Temporal and spatial analysis can ensure that each canvas contain pen strokes that spatially belong together such as an individual word composed of multiple strokes for easy manipulation of the word on the screen. Another related enhanced feature of the invention for erasing portions of the inputted writing is the process of generating a new curve with different points than the original curve.

  • Patent number: 7567276
Abstract: A method and apparatus for managing categorized images in a digital camera is provided. In one aspect, a method includes, storing images on a storage media in the digital imaging device, where each image includes at least one tag corresponding to a category for categorizing the images. A category list is generated that includes the categories corresponding to the tags in the images and the category list is stored on the storage media. The category list identifies, for each category, which of the stored images have the tag corresponding to the category. A category within the category list is designated as a default category. The method further includes accessing the image category list in order to display the images, wherein only the identified images of the default category are displayed, thereby speeding access to, and display of, the images.

  • Patent number: 5625818
Abstract: The present invention, generally speaking, provides a powerful yet easy to use electronic publishing tool for information providers and online service operators. The electronic publishing tool allows information providers to manage the content they provide to online services. It also reduces the effort required by operations staff of online services to support a growing number of information providers. Finally, the electronic publishing tool allows content to be captured from information providers (and, by extension, subscribers) so that it can be published onto a variety of platforms with minimal additional effort. For example information, in addition to or in lieu of being published on an online service, may be published on CD through a facility such as AppleLink CD (AppleLink CD allows a portion of the "static" content of an online service such as AppleLink to be published and distributed in CD form, with the result that the content is infinitely reusable without incurring connect charges.
