  • Patent number: 11068041
Abstract: A method and system for managing power for Universal Serial Bus (USB) ports, in particular USB Type-C ports that are connected to USB devices that do not support USB power delivery (USB PD). The method and system present an advertisement of a default power supply to a USB device, receive power attribute information from a USB device configuration descriptor during USB device enumeration, in response to the connecting USB device not supporting USB power deliver (USB PD), and dynamically change the power supply to meet the power requirements of the connecting USB device identified by the power attribute information.

  • Publication number: 20210027802
Abstract: In an embodiment, a system includes a wearable device having a sensor that detects whisper data from a user. The whisper data may include vibrational data, audio data, and/or biometric signals, and correspond to words whispered by the user at a first decibel level. The system also includes a processor communicatively coupled to the sensor that extracts features associated with the whisper data including frequencies and/or amplitudes associated with the whispered data, and generates speech data based on the whisper data and the features. The speech data corresponds to the words spoken at a second decibel level, where the second decibel level is greater than the first decibel level.

  • Patent number: 6968010
Abstract: A method for efficient low power motion estimation of a digital video image is provided in which processing requirements are reduced based upon the content being processed. The method performs motion estimation of a current video image using a search window of a previous video image. The method may include forming mean pyramids of a reference macroblock and the search area and a full search at a lowest resolution. A number of candidate motion vectors (CMVs) propagated to lower levels may be dependent on a quantized average deviation estimate (QADE) of a current macroblock and the maximum distortion band obtained during training for that QADE value at that particular level. Training over a sequence may be triggered at the beginning of every sequence. This training technique may be used to determine the value of the maximum distortion band for all QADEs of the macroblocks occurring over the training frames.
