  • Patent number: 10404600
Abstract: Systems and methods of network traffic engineering are provided. The system includes a switch and a controller. The controller can maintain a monitoring segment identifier set defining a path for traffic intended for a destination device. The controller can maintain a forwarding segment identifier set representing a compressed version of the monitoring segment identifier set such that traffic, when labeled according to the forwarding segment identifier set, will follow the path defined by the monitoring segment identifier set. The controller can monitor a status of the path defined by the monitoring segment identifier set. The controller can, subject to determining that the path defined by the monitoring segment identifier set is invalid, cause the switch to not label a packet received at the switch according to the forwarding segment identifier set.

  • Publication number: 20140179266
Abstract: A method includes identifying a data volume allocation associated with a user account from a shared data volume allocation, identifying previous data consumption corresponding to the data volume allocation by the user account, and identifying a current data usage rate associated with the user account. The method also includes identifying a data usage threshold associated with the user account. A projected data usage is determined based on the current data usage rate and the previous data consumption. The method includes determining whether the projected data usage exceeds the data usage threshold, and, if the projected data usage exceeds the data usage threshold, sending a notification indicating that the data usage is projected to exceed the data usage threshold to at least one account associated with the shared data plan. The method further includes performing an action to limit data consumption below the data usage threshold.

  • Patent number: 7124958
Abstract: A method and apparatus suitable for producing an artificial snow surface for tire evaluation is provided. The process provides for manufacturing a series of snow layers, each layer followed by a packing and a grooming step to provide a multi-layered snow surface. Desirable shear strength properties of the snow surface are enhanced by a surface grooming technique that applies a layer of water to the upper snow surface followed by grooming of the surface. The manufactured snow surface allows the testing and evaluation of tires that compares favorably to tire evaluation data obtained from outdoor testing facilities.

  • Patent number: 7043412
Abstract: A method of designing a vehicle air system is provided. This method includes the use of a computer to simulate operation of a proposed vehicle air system over a time period, wherein the proposed vehicle air system comprises an air compressor and a pneumatically operable device, and wherein the step of simulating operation of a proposed vehicle air system over a time period includes: simulating selective operation of the air compressor to add air to the proposed vehicle air system; and simulating selective operation of the pneumatically operable device to exhaust air from the proposed vehicle air system. The computer is then used to calculate a duty cycle of the air compressor over the time period and to output the duty cycle.
