  • Patent number: 11518448
Abstract: A vehicle tailgate (30) has a frame (40) with a cross beam (42) and a pair of side beams (44, 46). One side beam (44, 46) extends from each end of the cross beam (42). A first metal tapping plate (50, 150) is secured with the cross beam (42). At least one elongated tang (56) is positioned between the body (52) and each tab (54). A clevis bracket (82) is positioned on the side beams (44, 46). An overmolded (108) material is on the shaft (100, 102) and the two heads (96, 98) of the striker (88). The wedges (92, 94), on the clevis bracket (82), aligns the clevis bracket (82) with the striker (84). A second tapping plate (70) is secured to the sheet metal.

  • Patent number: 5827036
Abstract: The wheelchair lift invention mounts to the roof of a vehicle such as an ordinary automobile using commonly available mounting hardware used for attaching a variety of rooftop storage containers to such vehicles. The wheelchair lift, powered by the vehicle's battery, is remotely operable from the driver's seat of the vehicle using a handheld or dash mounted controller. The preferred embodiment permits easy attachment of the wheelchair to a lifting assembly, which is then elevated with the assistance of an electric motor to a rooftop platform. Once securely positioned in a generally flat orientation, a hingedly attached cover member is lowered over the wheelchair and lifting assembly, and latched into position to the platform or support assembly.

  • Patent number: 4294102
Abstract: This invention relates to a device for the bending and/or distortion-free hardening of bar material, particularly leaf springs, which device has a plurality of frame-shaped tools which upon their closing bend the heated workpiece and lower it in clamped condition into a treatment tank. For the bending and lowering the tools are moved in vertical direction in a portal and discharging from the portal in its lowest position and fed by guide rails of a transport device in a treatment tank. Thereupon the tools are grasped by a lift portal and raised into a position lying above the treatment tank in which position they are opened, the workpiece is removed, and the opened tool is transferred via guide rails of another transport device into a ready position.
