  • Patent number: 4494404
Abstract: A fuel-consumption monitoring system for motor vehicles with manually-shifted transmissions is indicated, this system generating, from a processing operation involving performance data which are specific to the vehicle, as well as fuel-consumption data and operating-condition data, an output signal which is correlated with the instantaneous fuel consumption of the vehicle, which system is also capable of being activated, for example by output signals from a gearshift-recommendation transmitter, to emit a consumption-difference signal which is a direct measure of the fuel-consumption reduction which would be obtained if the gearshift-recommendation were followed. This lower-consumption signal is preferably displayed in liter/100 Kilometer units and is triggered only when a significant fuel saving can be achieved by a change of gear.

  • Patent number: 4449726
Abstract: A control arrangement for a follow-up steering axle in single- or multiple-unit vehicles with at least three axles. The follow-up steering axle may be stabilized in dependence upon a load of the vehicle in a direction toward a straight-ahead driving position and may be blocked in the straight-ahead driving position. A speed-dependent stabilization is provided for the follow-up steering axle in a direction toward its straight-ahead driving position.

  • Patent number: 4069888
Abstract: A traffic system, especially a public local passenger traffic system, with self-propelled trackless steerable vehicles travelling on special lanes. Beam reflectors, especially sound reflectors are arranged along the entire length of the lane true to the shape of the road transmitting and receiving apparatus, especially sound echo sounding or radar apparatus, are provided in each vehicle which influence the vehicle steering system to provide an automatic vehicle cross guidance in accordance with the contact-free distance detection of the reflectors.
