  • Publication number: 20140210989
Abstract: Among other things, techniques, systems, methods and computer readable storage medium with executable instructions relating to the viewing of data from and the controlling of the operation of an inspection camera at a remote computing device that is connected to the inspection camera via a network are described. Various features may be realized by using an installable software application or a web browser at the remote computing device. Features of the invention also pertain to a smart cable storage drum comprising a push cable, an inspection camera, and a network transceiver configured to communicate with a remote computer.

  • Patent number: 7287530
Abstract: The present invention is an improved tobacco hookah or water pipe, comprising a water reservoir, a smoke and vapor collection chamber, and a flexible hose through which smoke and vapor may be inhaled. In this improved hookah, water used to filter and cool smoke and vapor also serves to draw smoke and vapor into a smoke and vapor collection chamber using a hydraulic pressure gradient, also known as head, relieving an operator of the necessity of personally creating a vacuum or negative pressure needed to draw smoke and vapor into a smoke and vapor collection chamber, and capable of attaining substantially greater vacuum or negative pressure than is possible with ordinary inhalation. In addition this improved hookah permits an operator to control and vary the vacuum or negative pressure so created, so controlling the rate at which smoke and vapor is drawn into the hookah, and thus the rate and temperature of tobacco combustion.

  • Publication number: 20060232259
Abstract: A human-portable utility locator system for locating and tracing a buried utility line characterized by an electromagnetic field emission. The locator may include a horizontal spaced sensor pair for detecting the horizontal field asymmetry of the emitted field in one or more independent frequency bands, which is employed to assist in determining an accurate “virtual depth” measurement for producing detection events. An event detector may be disposed to detect events corresponding to extremum in the B-field gradient with respect to time and a user interface (UI) coupled to the event detector signals the detected event to a user. In a preferred embodiment, one pair of spaced-apart 3D magnetic sensor arrays is disposed substantially orthogonal to another intermediate spaced-apart pair of sensors.

  • Patent number: 5214809
Abstract: A mattress of an adjustable bed is readily bendable at joints connecting non-bendable sections. Each non-bendable section is composed of a non-bendable assembly of rows and columns of spring coils held in place by top and bottom border wires, edge support elements between the border wires and longitudinal straps on the top and bottom of each column of coils to provide a durable spring assembly with uniform support throughout. A bag assembly of sturdy fabric has a series of pockets to hold the spring assemblies in place spaced apart from one another by a fixed gap defined by a transverse hinge portion of the bag assembly positioned at the mid thickness of the mattress so that the joints formed by the hinge may bend either way for reversing the mattress top to bottom. Resilient foam bars fill the gaps between pockets and conventional mattress padding and covering are secured to the bag assembly.
