The connecting ring can include a hoop, upper tabs projecting from an upper surface of the hoop, and lower tabs projecting from a lower surface of the hoop. The lower surface of the hoop is opposing the upper surface. Each of the upper tabs can include: a respective inner bump extending radially inward toward an interior of the hoop, and a respective inner groove formed between a respective lower surface of the respective inner bump and the upper surface of the hoop. Each of the lower tabs can include a respective outer bump extending radially outward away from the interior of the hoop, and a respective outer groove formed between a respective upper surface of the respective outer bump and the lower surface of the hoop. Abstract: A maze for a small animal habitat is provided. The maze includes a base having a floor and a plurality of sidewalls. The floor includes a plurality of slots therein. In another aspect, a plurality of dividers have a notched area on a bottom portion that are configured to be inserted into the slots. The bottom surface of the floor includes one or more feet positioned at the corner of adjoining sidewalls. Each of said feet are configured to be received in a nesting relationship into an upper portion of a lower maze at the corner of two adjoining sidewalls such that an outer face of each leg is coincident with an inner surface of each adjoining sidewall.

Abstract: A small animal habitat in the form of, e.g., an automobile and a method for coupling respective halves of a small animal habitat. The small animal habitat includes a top shell portion, the top shell portion including a plurality of top wheel portions, each of the top wheel portions forming a top half of a respective wheel section. The habitat also includes a bottom shell portion, the bottom shell portion having a plurality of bottom wheel portions, each of the bottom wheel portions forming a bottom half of a respective wheel section. Additionally, a plurality of assembly rings are provided, wherein each assembly ring is configured to couple the top wheel portion to the bottom wheel portion of a respective wheel section so as to hold the top shell portion and the bottom shell portion of the small habitat in engagement.
