    Abstract: A process for altering the shape of a polymer particle is disclosed. The process comprises suspending polymer particles in a suspending medium at a temperature that effects melting of the polymer and agitating the suspension for a time sufficient to change the shape of the particles. The shape altered particles are combined with a pharmaceutically acceptable agent to give a drug delivery particle system.
