  • Publication number: 20230090227
Abstract: A conductive transfer for application to a surface of a wearable item comprises a first non-conductive ink layer and a second non-conductive ink layer. An electrically conductive layer is positioned between the first non-conductive ink layer and the second non-conductive ink layer. The conductive transfer also comprises an adhesive layer for adhering the conductive transfer to the surface of the wearable item. The adhesive layer comprises a larger cross-sectional area than the cross-sectional area of each of the first non-conductive ink layer, the second non-conductive ink layer and the electrically conductive layer.

Inventors: Paul Timothy Brook, Raymond Bungay, Melvyn Revitt
  • Patent number: 11457868
Abstract: A conductive transfer for application to an article comprises first and second non-conductive layers and a conductive layer positioned between the two non-conductive layers. The conductive transfer further comprises an adhesive layer for adhering the conductive transfer to an article, such as a wearable item. The conductive layer comprises a plurality of tessellated cells defined by a printed conductive ink. The conductive layer comprises a main element and an input track with the plurality of tessellated cells being comprised over the input track of said conductive layer.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 5, 2020
Date of Patent: October 4, 2022
    Assignee: CONDUCTIVE TRANSFERS LIMITED
Inventors: Paul Timothy Brook, Mark John Catchpole, Steven Paul Sutcliffe
  • Patent number: 11406012
Abstract: A conductive transfer and method of producing the conductive transfer is described. The conductive transfer comprises two non-conductive layers and a conductive layer between the two non-conductive layers and at least one electrical component in electrical communication with the conductive layer. The conductive layer includes a power trace for providing a power source to the electrical component and a data trace for providing the electrical component with an electrical signal.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 11272580
Abstract: A conductive transfer 201 for application to a surface includes two non-conductive ink layers 202, 203. A heating element 204 is positioned between the two non-conductive ink layers. An adhesive layer 207 for adhering said conductive transfer to a surface is also present. The heating element comprises an electrically conductive ink 205 having a positive temperature coefficient such that the electrically conductive ink exhibits an increase in resistance in response to an increase in temperature. A method of production of the conductive transfer involves a printing process.
