  • Publication number: 20200025171
Abstract: A method for reducing loads of a wind turbine includes determining an angular pitch speed parameter of the rotor blade of the wind turbine. The method also includes determining an operational state of the wind turbine. Further, the method includes comparing the angular pitch speed parameter to a predetermined parameter threshold during turbine shutdown and/or a commanded pitch event. If the operational state corresponds to a predetermined operational state, the method includes yawing a nacelle of the wind turbine away from an incoming wind direction when the angular pitch speed parameter is below the predetermined parameter threshold during the turbine shutdown and/or the commanded pitch event.

  • Patent number: 10542316
Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems, and articles of manufacture are disclosed to rectify false set top box tuning data. Disclosed examples methods include identifying in return path data a first group of set top boxes classified as likely to exhibit machine events in tuning data of the return path data more frequently than a second group of set top boxes represented in the return path data. Additionally, in some examples, the method includes determining whether the first group of set top boxes includes a machine event based on a pattern of the tuning data in the return path data for respective ones of the first group of set top boxes and improving an accuracy of return path data by rectifying the machine event.

  • Patent number: 10539013
Abstract: A bottom hole assembly includes a single wire bus, a legacy sensor coupled to the single wire bus, and at least one high frequency communication sensor coupled to the single wire bus. The high frequency communication sensor injects a high frequency signal alternating between high frequency synchronization pulses and high frequency data signals onto the single wire bus. A first high frequency pass filter coupled between the at least one high frequency communication sensor and the single wire bus is also included. The high frequency pass filter passes the high frequency signal to the single wire bus from the high frequency communication sensor. The bottom hole assembly includes a first high frequency blocking filter coupled between the legacy sensor and the single wire bus. The high frequency blocking filter blocks the high frequency signal from the high frequency communication sensor from disturbing a legacy signal at the legacy sensor.

  • Patent number: 10540442
Abstract: Mechanisms are provided for evaluating a temporal relevance of a candidate answer to an input natural language question. An input natural language question is received and analyzed to identify a temporal focus of the input natural language question. A corpus of documents is processed based on the input natural language question to generate candidate answers to the input natural language question, where each candidate answer is processed to identify at least one contextual temporal focus associated with the candidate answer. The at least one contextual temporal focus is compared with the temporal focus of the input natural language question and a measure of temporal relevance of the candidate answer based on results of the comparison is generated. A final answer to the input natural language question is output based on the measure of temporal relevance.

  • Patent number: 10542098
Abstract: An method for M2M communications and an M2M node are disclosed. The M2M node provides a communication management function for communication between a first service layer in a first network and a second service layer in a second network. The M2M node receives a first message from a first application in the first service layer. The first message encapsulates a second message. The M2M node determines based on at least a first attribute identifying an expiration time after which the communication management function does not facilitate communication, that the communication management function is available to process the first message. The M2M node determines based on at least a second attribute defining an access control list identifying applications in the first service layer for which the communication management function may provide processing, that the communication management function is available to process the first message from the first application.

  • Patent number: 10542395
Abstract: A method for routing calls between a third party telecommunications device (“TD”) and a subscriber TD associated with a primary service and a second line service (“SLS”) involves associating the SLS number of the subscriber, the primary number of the subscriber and the primary number of a third party via a common relationship number. Calls directed from a third party to the SLS number of a subscriber are routed to an SLS platform and redirected to the subscriber TD. Calls directed from the subscriber TD to the third party use the relationship number to route the call to the SLS platform. The combination of the primary service number and the relationship number identifies the third party number for call completion. Calls can be directed to and from an SLS number of a subscriber TD using a combination of protocols such as ISUP, CAP and SIP.

  • Patent number: 10541044
Abstract: Providing efficient handling of memory array failures in processor-based systems is disclosed. In this regard, in one aspect, a memory controller of a processor-based device is configured to detect a defect within a memory element of a plurality of memory elements of a memory array. In response, a disable register of one or more disable registers is set to correspond to the memory element to indicate that the memory element is disabled. The memory controller receives a memory access request to a memory address corresponding to the memory element, and determines, based on one or more disable registers, whether the memory element is disabled. If so, the memory controller disallows the memory access request. Some aspects may provide that the memory controller, in response to detecting the defect, provides a failure indication to an executing process, and subsequently receives, from the executing process, a request to set the disable register.
