  • Publication number: 20140189714
Abstract: The current document is directed to automated electronic testing, optimization, and/or analysis systems that collect sufficient data from instrumentation, maintain sufficient user status, and provide sufficient communications between instrumentation and testing, optimization, and/or analysis systems in order to follow, reconstruct, and record temporal threads of user activity that span multiple user contexts. In one implementation, JSON-encoded information is collected through instrumentation and supplemented by testing, optimization, and/or analysis systems in order to provide many different types of information about remote-information-accessing users and the device and program contexts from which they access remote information.

Abstract: This disclosure pertains generally to client authentication. One aspect of the disclosure relates to a first server for presenting evidence to a Domain Controller (DC) of a first authentication context being submitted from a client to the first server to obtain a delegable credential, wherein the credential can be used to request a second authentication context from that client to a second server. Another aspect relates to the first server providing a pass-thru with evidence to a DC. The evidence relates to a first authentication context being submitted from a client to the first server that it obtained a delegable credential. The pass-thru is used in combination with the credential to request a second authentication context from the client to a second server.

  • Patent number: 8766839
Abstract: An intermediate set of bits of a SAR ADC are converted into first intermediate analog value and a second intermediate analog value respectively from a first set of representative capacitor and a second set of representative capacitor. A capacitor in the first set and second set are selected as not same. A SAR ADC output code is generated from the first intermediate analog value and the second intermediate analog value. The resolution of a N bit SAR ADC can be enhanced by generating more than one N bits digital codes correspondingly operating the N Bit SARADC with more than on transfer functions. Each transfer function is selected such that they are offset by a fraction of LSB value. The more than one N bits digital codes are then added to form P bits digital code such that P is greater than N due to addition.

  • Patent number: 8768552
Abstract: A vehicle brake system and method designed to maximize the contributions from a regenerative braking system, yet still provide adequate safety measures that address potential regenerative braking failure. According to one embodiment, the method determines both a requested deceleration from the driver and an actual deceleration experienced by the vehicle, and uses the difference between these two values to calculate a deceleration error that can be integrated over time and compared to an error threshold. If the integrated or accumulated deceleration error surpasses the error threshold, then the method may reduce or disable the regenerative braking system until it can confirm that it is operating properly.
