  • Patent number: 9470815
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for reducing the impact of guided (or “tube”) waves in permanently installed seismic systems are provided. By utilizing passive acoustic absorbers, the impact of tube waves may be reduced, leading to improved performance of permanently installed seismic systems that are installed onto production tubing when the well is completed.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 4, 2014
Date of Patent: October 18, 2016
    Assignee: Weatherford Technology Holdings, LLC
    Inventors: Sverre Knudsen, Paul Travis

  • Patent number: 7617471
Abstract: A method of implementing a circuit design on a programmable integrated circuit can include displaying a list of at least one memory of the circuit design that is associated with the processor. A plurality of attributes of an event for the processor can be received. The plurality of attributes can specify a condition that, when met within at least one memory from the list, causes a signal to be generated to the processor. A description of an event interface for the processor can be automatically created according to the plurality of attributes of the interrupt. The description of the event interface can be incorporated into a description of the circuit design.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 7261196
Abstract: The present invention relates to a drive assembly including an adapter that enables the use of a lightweight backstopping clutch with a driven shaft. The adapter is coupled to the driven shaft for rotation therewith and forms a stub shaft smaller than the driven shaft. The clutch has an inner race that is disposed about the stub shaft and an outer race fixed against rotation so as to allow rotation of the stub shaft and driven shaft in one direction and inhibit rotation in an opposition direction.

  • Patent number: 7036601
Abstract: An apparatus and method for transporting, deploring, and retrieving an array is disclosed. The array has a plurality of nodes interconnected by sections of cable and can be transported, deployed, and retrieved with the apparatus and method of the present invention. The apparatus includes a plurality of first divisions and a plurality of second divisions. The first divisions have first portions or holders capable of individually accommodating the nodes. The second divisions are alternatingly positioned adjacent the first divisions. The second divisions have second portions or surfaces capable of individually accommodating the sections of cable. The first and second divisions can be integral portions of the apparatus, can be separate members positioned on the apparatus, or can be used with a standard cable drum. Preferably, the second divisions can be rotated relative to the first divisions to tightly wind and easily unwind the sections of cable.

  • Patent number: 5765180
Abstract: The present invention provides a method and system for correcting the spelling of words. In a preferred embodiment, a list of misspelled words and associated correctly spelled words is maintained. When a misspelled word is encountered during the spell checking of a word processing document, the system searches the list for the misspelled word. If the misspelled word is in the list, the system replaces the word in the document with the associated correctly spelled word. The system also provides a method and system for adding misspelled words and associated correctly spelled words to the list.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 3, 1996
Date of Patent: June 9, 1998
    Assignee: Microsoft Corporation
