A tamper-evident tab extends from the rib. The tab has an inwardly extending lug configured to engage with the outwardly extending projection of the straw as the cap rotates relative to the straw when the cap and the straw are secured together. The tab has a has a foldable portion configured to fold the lug inwardly to provide a visual indication when the cap is an unsealed configuration.

A stability of the spouted pouch is a function of the length of the sealboat extension into the pouch, a depth of the gusset, dimensions of the sealboat, and a width of the pouch, such that the spouted pouch is stable both standing in a downside-up orientation in which the gusset contacts a support surface and standing in an upside-down orientation in which the sealboat contacts the support surface.

A membrane is located below the web and is in sealing contact with the internal ring when the piston is activated. This allows a precise and repeatable amount of the liquid to be dispensed with each stroke. Dispensers for dispensing the liquid from the cartridge for a number of applications are also provided. The dispensers each include an actuating coil into which the dispensing tube is inserted. A controller is connected to the coil for controlling the actuation of the piston/value assembly for dispensing the fluid in the cartridge as required for the particular application.
