  • Patent number: 9799988
Abstract: An apparatus with (a) a conformable contact member with a base and a contact layer; and (b) a magnet integral with or attached to the base, wherein, when the apparatus is placed on a target surface, the magnet and the target surface attract each other such that the contact layer is secured against the target surface.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: October 24, 2017
    Assignee: Illinois Tool Works Inc.
    Inventor: Paul Verhagen
  • Patent number: 9589705
Abstract: A connector for simultaneously connecting and disconnecting electrical and fluid paths includes an internal valve which activates fluid flow when the two sides of the connector are connected together to provide an electrical connection and deactivates the fluid flow when the connectors are disconnected. The connector bodies can be constructed of metal or other conductive materials providing an electrical connection, and can include holes or apertures to provide fluid paths through the connector bodies. Valves can be included in both mating connectors to prevent or allow fluid flow from both sides of the flow path.

  • Publication number: 20160265976
Abstract: A device providing a temperature control and/or monitoring and a method for use of the device are disclosed. In the disclosed method and device, a controller receives a minimum temperature value and a maximum temperature value of a temperature range to be measured. The controller correlates a known output signal range of a temperature sensor to the temperature range to be measured. Further, the controller receives an output signal from the temperature sensor, and generates a measured temperature value based on the output signal of the temperature sensor.
