Abstract: An induction heating assembly for an aerosol generating device includes an induction coil for generating an electromagnetic field, and an inductively heatable susceptor having a first part and a second part which include the same susceptor material. The first part is positioned with respect to the induction coil so that it is inductively heated by the electromagnetic field and the second part is positioned with respect to the induction coil so that it is not inductively heated by the electromagnetic field. The induction heating assembly further includes a temperature sensor in contact with the second part of the inductively heatable susceptor.
