    Abstract: A fluidic ejection cartridge and protective tape therefor. The cartridge includes a cartridge body for an organic solvent-based fluid having a cover closing a first end thereof, an ejection head on a second end thereof and side walls attached to the first and second ends between the first and second ends. The side walls include a first side wall, a second side wall opposite the first side wall, a first end wall attached to the first and second side walls, and a second end wall opposite the first end wall attached to the first and second side walls. A removable tape is attached to a nozzle plate of the ejection head and to a portion of the first side wall. The removable tape contains a polymeric backing film and a glass-filled, platinum-cured silicone adhesive. The glass-filled, platinum-cured silicone adhesive is cross-linked with silane and a second cross-linking agent.

    Abstract: An apparatus and method for cleaning and rinsing of disk-shaped objects, such as silicon wafers, high precision lenses and the like. The cleaning and rinsing may take place in a single chamber, that is sequentially filled with cleaning solution, rinsing solution, and the like. In an important aspect of the invention, chemical cleaning solutions are dumped to containers and recycled for the use. Moreover, a cleaning solution composition may be monitored, and the concentration of solution can be adjusted automatically, or make-up chemicals may be added, as necessary. The apparatus has a relatively small footprint and maybe surrounded with an enclosure that may be kept at lower than atmosphere pressure to prevent escape of potentially hazardous contaminants into the environment. In preferred embodiments of the invention, the handling of wafers to be cleaned is carried out robotically, most preferably using a robot with at least two end-effectors, each adapted for a specific function.

    Abstract: A wet etching process (10) etches sacrificial oxide on a substrate without damaging a polycrystalline silicon structure on the substrate. The etching process (10) includes dipping the substrate in a surfactant (11), submerging a portion of the substrate in a recirculating bath of the etchant while injecting an inert gas into the etchant (12) to purge the etchant of oxygen, rinsing the substrate in deionized water (14), submerging a portion of the substrate in a hydrogen peroxide solution (15), rinsing the substrate for a second time (17), and drying the substrate in isopropyl alcohol vapor (18). The inert gas injected into the etchant displaces oxygen dissolved in the etchant and protects the polycrystalline silicon structure from being etched.
