    Abstract: The disclosure relates to a process for recovering from waste polymer from the wash down of reactors after the polymerization of styrene and butadiene to produce useful elastomeric products. The process comprises compounding the waste polymer on a two roll rubber mill with a chlorinated petroleum wax and a sulfamic acid gel (sulfamic acid is also known as a amidosulfonic acid) and compounding the same at certain selected temperatures for a period of time to produce a usable copolymeric elastomeric product.
