  • Publication number: 20240118306
Abstract: In some examples, an accelerometer system includes a first excitation ring comprising: a first housing; and a first cover removably attached to the first housing, wherein the first housing and the first cover define a first recess. The accelerometer system also includes a second excitation ring comprising: a second housing; and a second cover removably attached to the second housing, wherein the second housing and the second cover define a second recess. The accelerometer system also includes a proof mass assembly; and processing circuitry located within one or both of the first recess and the second recess, wherein the first excitation ring and the second excitation ring shield the processing circuitry from harmful levels of radiation existing outside of the accelerometer system, and wherein the processing circuitry is configured to maintain a proof mass of the proof mass assembly in a null position.

  • Patent number: 8864000
Abstract: A portable visual display panel mounting device is provided, the device comprising: a backing plate, having a visual display mounting side and an arm mounting side; a pair of articulating arms, each articulating arm including a ratcheting surface and a curved free end having an outermost tip; wherein the pair of articulating arms are pivotably connected at a common axis so that the ratcheting surfaces abut, and wherein at least one of the articulating arms is movably attached to the arm mounting side of the backing plate; and a common pin operable with a biasing member, wherein the common pin and the biasing member are located to facilitate pivotable connection of the articulating arms at the common axis so that the articulating arms are movable between a first position, wherein the curved ends of each articulating arm are proximately located next to each other, and a second position, wherein the curved ends of each articulating arm are disparately located away from each other; wherein, when the pair of artic

  • Patent number: 6746636
Abstract: The present invention provides spheroidal particles of coal slag, and methods of making the spheroidal particles. One method of the invention includes delivering a feedstock of irregularly shaped particles of coal fly ash or coal slag to a drop tube, dropping the irregularly shaped particles into the drop tube in a manner such that the irregularly shaped particles flow in a substantially vertical downward path as individualized particles, and heating the irregularly shaped particles to cause at least the outer surface of the irregularly shaped particles to melt and form spheroidal particles due to surface tension at the outer surface. The spheroidal particles typically have a diameter in the range of about 0.001 to 5 mm, and comprise SiO2, Al2O3, Fe2O3, FeO, Na2O, and K2O.

  • Patent number: 6258456
Abstract: The present invention provides spheroidal particles of coal slag. The spheroidal particles have at least a hard outer shell, a diameter in the range of about 0.001 mm to 5 mm and comprise SiO2, Al2O3, Fe2O3, FeO, CaO, Na2O and K2O. The present invention also provides a process for spherulizing irregularly shaped particles of coal slag and agglomerated coal fly ash. The process includes the steps of: (a) providing a drop tube having an upper portion, a central portion and a lower portion; (b) deliverng a feedstock of irregularly shaped particles of coal slag and agglomerated coal fly ash to the upper portion of the drop tube at a rate at which the particles remain individualized; (c) heating the particles to a sufficient temperature by providing heat to the outer surface of the central portion of the drop tube to cause at least the outer surface of the particles to melt such that a majority, i.e.

  • Patent number: PP16890
Abstract: A new and distinct Hybrid Tea rose plant is provided which forms attractive blossoms that are hot pink in coloration. The new variety is a spontaneous mutation of unknown causation of the ‘Meilavio’ variety (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 10,845) that forms vivid red blossoms. The blossoms are fully double, long lasting, and very quartered in the sense the petals of the fully opened blossoms tend to be arranged in a plurality of zones when viewed from above. The vegetation is strong and vigorous and the growth habit is erect. Many large thorns are exhibited. The foliage is very decorative, dark green, and semi-glossy and contrasts nicely with the hot pink blossom coloration. Good resistance to Black Spot and Powdery Mildew is displayed. The new variety is well suited for providing attractive ornamentation in the garden.
