Patent number: 8689728Abstract: The present invention is directed towards the holding of medical devices during manufacture to enable the application of therapeutic and/or protective coatings. More specifically, the present invention provides medical device holders that securely retain stents and other medical devices during the application of a coating while minimizing compressive and tensile forces applied to the stents. The invention avoids disruptions to coating quality due to holder blockage during coating deposition. The invention discloses an improved device containing a mandrel and frame that may improve coating uniformity by eliminating shadowing from the frame of the medical device holder when applying coatings to stents and other medical devices.Type: GrantFiled: October 5, 2007Date of Patent: April 8, 2014Inventors: Menendez Adolfo, Paul W Schmokel, Eilaz P Babaev, Scott R Banaszewski, Michael R Afremov

Patent number: 6804353Abstract: A telecommunications device including a plurality of splitter cards mounted in a chassis, a circuit board, and plurality of card edge connectors for providing electrical connections between the splitter cards and the circuit board, and POTS, LINE, and DATA connectors. The circuit board includes three layers, each layer having tracings that electrically connect at least one POTS, LINE, or DATA connector to at least one of the card edge connector. A center layer includes a grounding plane that is adapted to reduce cross-talk between tracings on a top layer and tracings on a bottom layer. The grounding plane is co-planar with tracings on the center layer such that the grounding plane adds additional thickness to the center layer.Type: GrantFiled: June 29, 2001Date of Patent: October 12, 2004Assignee: ADC Telecommunications, Inc.Inventor: Paul W. Schmokel

Patent number: 6804352Abstract: A telecommunications device including a chassis having a card housing for containing a plurality of splitter cards. The card housing includes front and back ends. The front end of the card housing defines an access opening for allowing the splitter cards to be inserted into or removed from the card housing. The device also includes a plurality of card edge connectors for providing electrical connections with the splitter cards. The card edge connectors are located within the card housing adjacent to the back end of the housing. Each card edge connector is arranged in a generally horizontal orientation. The device further includes forwardly facing LINE, POTS and DATA connectors that are electrically connected to the card edge connectors. At least the LINE and POTS connectors are positioned in a generally horizontal orientation.Type: GrantFiled: June 29, 2001Date of Patent: October 12, 2004Assignee: ADC Telecommunications, Inc.Inventors: Jennifer L. Miller, Paul W. Schmokel

Patent number: 6738463Abstract: A telecommunications device including a plurality of splitter cards mounted within a chassis. The device also includes a circuit board and a plurality of card edge connectors for providing electrical connections between the splitter cards and the circuit board. The device further includes POTS connectors electrically connected to the card edge connectors by first tracings of the circuit board, LINE connectors electrically connected to the card edge connectors by second tracings of the circuit board, and DATA connectors electrically connected to the card edge connectors by third tracings of the circuit board. The POTS and LINE connectors are arranged in pairs with the POTS and LINE connectors of each pair being electrically connected to a common one of the card edge connectors. The POTS and LINE connectors of at least some of the pairs are inverted in orientation relative to one another.Type: GrantFiled: June 29, 2001Date of Patent: May 18, 2004Assignee: ADC Telecommunications, Inc.Inventor: Paul W.
